Setup

Unpacking and Assembly

The Kärcher K1800PS is designed for quick assembly without the need for tools. Follow these steps to prepare your unit for use:

  1. Uncoil the power cord completely.
  2. Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V AC outlet.

Detergent Tank Setup

For applications requiring detergent, fill the onboard tank.

  1. Remove the detergent tank from its housing.
  2. Fill the tank with pressure washer safe detergent. Do not use bleach or abrasive cleaners.
  3. Return the detergent tank to its position.

  1. Ensure the water supply is fully open and the power cord is plugged in.
  2. Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge air from the system until a steady stream of water emerges.

Shutting Down

  1. Press the on/off foot switch to turn off the pressure washer.
  2. Turn off the water supply.
  3. Squeeze the spray gun trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system.
  4. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet.
  5. Disconnect the garden hose from the unit.
