3. Setup

3.1 Unboxing and Components

Upon opening the package, ensure all components are present:

3.2 Charging the Battery

The AR-5RM radios come with 2500mAh rechargeable batteries. You have two primary charging options:

1. USB-C Charging: Connect the provided USB-C cable directly to the radio's USB-C port. This allows for convenient charging from various sources such as power banks, PCs, car chargers, wall adapters, or laptops.
2. US Base Charger: Place the radio into the provided charging base. The base charger can improve charging efficiency by 20% and save time.

Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use for optimal performance.

3.3 Antenna Installation

The radio comes with an AR-771 long antenna. For optimal range and performance, it is recommended to use the provided AR-771 high-gain antenna. Simply screw the antenna clockwise onto the top connector of the radio until secure.

4.3 Frequency Copy Function

The "One Key Frequency Match" feature allows you to quickly copy the frequency of another walkie-talkie, simplifying programming steps.
