3. Setup

3.1 Battery Charging

1. Insert the battery into the charger. Ensure it clicks into place.
2. Plug the charger into a standard power outlet.
3. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 2-3 hours.
4. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

3.2 Assembly (Mini Chainsaw & Extension Pole)

1. For Mini Chainsaw Use: Attach a charged battery to the mini chainsaw unit until it locks securely.
2. For Pole Pruner Use: Attach the mini chainsaw unit to the top end of the extension pole. Ensure the connection is firm and secure.
3. Attach the handle and the battery unit to the lower end of the extension pole.
4. Adjust the length of the extension pole as needed by loosening the locking mechanism, extending the pole, and then tightening the mechanism.
5. Attach the shoulder strap for comfortable operation during extended use.

3.3 Chain Installation and Tensioning

The chain may come pre-installed. If not, or if replacing, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the battery is removed from the tool.
2. Remove the chain cover.
3. Carefully place the chain around the guide bar and the drive sprocket, ensuring the cutting edges face the correct direction.
4. Replace the chain cover.
5. Tool-Free Tensioning: Use the adjustment knob (as shown in the image below) to adjust the chain tension. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still able to be pulled freely by hand. There should be no slack on the underside of the guide bar.

3.4 Chain Lubrication

The tool features an automatic oiling system. Before first use and regularly during operation, ensure the oil reservoir is filled.

1. Ensure the battery is removed.
2. Locate the oil reservoir cap on the chainsaw unit.
3. Unscrew the cap and fill the reservoir with appropriate chain lubricant (bar and chain oil). Do not overfill.
4. Replace the cap securely.
5. The automatic system will lubricate the chain during operation. Check oil levels periodically.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Using as a Mini Chainsaw

For close-range cutting and smaller tasks, the mini chainsaw unit can be used handheld.

• Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely inserted.
• Hold the chainsaw firmly with one or both hands, depending on the task and your comfort. The unit weighs approximately 1.54 kg with one battery.
• Engage the safety switch and press the trigger to start the chain.
• Allow the chain to reach full speed before making contact with the material.
• Apply light pressure and let the saw do the work. Avoid forcing the cut.

4.2 Using with the Extension Pole (Pole Pruner)

For reaching higher branches, attach the extension pole.

• Ensure the pole is securely assembled and the battery is inserted into the handle unit.
• Adjust the pole length to suit the working height. The pole extends from 2m to 2.8m, providing a working reach of up to 4.5 meters.
• Use the shoulder strap to distribute the tool's weight (approx. 3.4 kg) and reduce fatigue.
• Maintain a stable stance and keep both hands on the pole handles.
• Engage the safety switch and press the trigger.
• Position the cutting head carefully on the branch.

4.3 Adjusting the Cutting Head

The cutting head can be adjusted up to 180° to achieve optimal cutting angles for various branches.

• Ensure the tool is off and the battery is removed before adjusting the head.
• Locate the adjustment mechanism near the chainsaw unit.
• Release the lock, adjust the head to the desired angle, and then securely lock it in place.

4.4 Cutting Techniques

• Undercut First: For larger branches, make a small undercut on the underside of the branch first to prevent bark stripping.
• Top Cut: Then, make the main cut from the top, slightly further out from the undercut.
• Avoid Pinching: Be mindful of the branch's weight and direction to prevent the guide bar from getting pinched.
• Clear Debris: Regularly clear cut branches and debris from the work area.
