Brewing Coffee:

  1. Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water to the desired level using the water level indicator. Do not exceed the MAX line.
  2. Add Coffee Grounds: Place the permanent filter into the filter basket. Add the desired amount of ground coffee using the measuring scoop. A general guideline is one scoop (approximately 7g) per cup. Adjust to your taste.
  3. Close Lid: Ensure the lid is securely closed.
  4. Position Carafe: Place the empty glass carafe onto the warming plate. Ensure it is correctly positioned to activate the drip-stop mechanism.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee machine.

Daily Cleaning:

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the coffee machine from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Discard Grounds: Remove the filter basket and permanent filter. Discard used coffee grounds.
  3. Wash Removable Parts: Wash the carafe, permanent filter, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts are generally top-rack dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended for longevity.
  4. Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the coffee machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  5. Clean Warming Plate: Wipe the warming plate with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive materials.

Descaling (Every 2-4 Weeks, depending on water hardness):

Mineral deposits from water can build up in your coffee machine, affecting performance and taste. Descaling helps remove these deposits.

  1. Prepare Descaling Solution: Mix 1 part white vinegar with 2 parts water. Fill the water reservoir with this solution up to the MAX level.
  2. Run Half Cycle: Place the empty carafe on the warming plate. Start a brewing cycle. After about half of the solution has brewed through, turn off the machine and let it soak for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Complete Cycle: Turn the machine back on and allow the remaining solution to brew through.
  4. Rinse Cycles: Discard the vinegar solution. Fill the water reservoir with clean water and run two full brewing cycles with only water to rinse out any residual vinegar taste.
