1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your GeRRiT V380 Pro 4K 8MP Dual Lens PTZ Outdoor Security Camera. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper functionality and safety.

The V380 Pro camera features 4K 8MP resolution with dual lenses, Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) capabilities, AI human tracking, two-way audio, and IP66 weather resistance, making it suitable for various outdoor surveillance needs.

2. Product Overview

2.1 Camera Components

The camera features dual lenses, each providing 4 million pixels for a combined 8 million pixel resolution. It includes infrared and white light LEDs for various night vision modes, dual antennas for enhanced connectivity, and a robust IP66-rated casing.

2.2 Key Features

3. Setup

3.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items are present and undamaged. The package should include the camera unit, power adapter, and mounting accessories.

3.2 Power Connection

Connect the provided DC12V power adapter to the camera's power input port and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet. The camera will power on and initiate its self-test sequence.

3.3 App Installation (V380 Pro)

  1. Download the V380 Pro application from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store).
  2. Install the app and create a new user account if you do not already have one.

3.4 Network Connection Methods

The camera supports three primary connection methods:

  1. Wireless Wi-Fi Connection:
    • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. 5GHz networks are not supported.
    • Open the V380 Pro app, select 'Add Device', and follow the on-screen instructions for Wi-Fi configuration.
  2. RJ-45 Wired Cable Connection:
    • Connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the camera's RJ-45 port.
    • The camera will automatically connect to the network. Add the device in the V380 Pro app by scanning for devices on the local network.
  3. AP Hotspot Mode Connection:
    • If no Wi-Fi or wired connection is available, the camera can create its own Wi-Fi hotspot.
    • Connect your smartphone directly to the camera's hotspot (usually named 'MV...' or 'V380...') in your phone's Wi-Fi settings.
    • Open the V380 Pro app to access the camera. Note that this mode has a limited range (typically no more than 10 meters).

3.5 SIM Card Installation (for 4G models)

If you have the 4G version of the camera, insert a compatible 4G SIM card into the designated slot. Ensure the camera is powered off before inserting or removing the SIM card.

3.6 SD Card Installation

The camera supports a Micro SD card up to 128GB for local video storage. Locate the SD card slot (often under a protective cover) and insert the card with the contacts facing the correct direction. Ensure the camera is powered off before inserting or removing the SD card.

4. Operating the Camera

4.1 Remote PTZ Control

Once connected, use the V380 Pro app to remotely control the camera's pan and tilt functions. The camera can pan 355° horizontally and tilt 90° vertically, allowing you to cover a wide area without blind spots.

4.2 AI Motion Detection and Auto-Tracking

Enable AI motion detection in the app settings. When a moving object (person, vehicle, animal) is detected, the camera will automatically track its movement, record video, and send an alert notification to your smartphone.

4.3 Two-Way Audio Communication

The integrated microphone and speaker allow for two-way audio. You can listen to the camera's surroundings and speak through the camera using the V380 Pro app, enabling direct communication with individuals near the camera.

4.4 Night Vision Modes

The camera offers clear night vision capabilities with multiple options:

  • Infrared Night Vision: Provides black and white images in complete darkness.
  • Color Night Vision: Utilizes white light LEDs to provide full-color images even in low-light conditions.

4.5 Remote Access (P2P/Multi-User)

P2P technology allows you to view live footage and recorded events from your smartphone or tablet from anywhere with an internet connection. You can also share camera access with family members through the V380 Pro app.

4.6 Video Recording and Storage

The camera supports continuous recording or event-triggered recording to either a local Micro SD card (up to 128GB) or a cloud storage service. Cloud storage requires a subscription for continuous use.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Camera

Periodically clean the camera lens and casing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the lens or finish. Ensure the camera is powered off before cleaning.

5.2 Weather Resistance (IP66)

The camera is rated IP66, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and powerful water jets. This makes it suitable for outdoor use in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and wind.

5.3 Firmware Updates

Check the V380 Pro app regularly for available firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.

6. Troubleshooting
