Its dual power capability, operating on both AC power and batteries, makes it an ideal companion for both indoor and outdoor use.
Please read this manual carefully before operating the unit to ensure proper use and to maximize its performance and lifespan.
2. Safety Information
- Power Source: Ensure the power supply voltage matches the rating indicated on the unit. Use only the provided AC power cord.
- Batteries: Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Insert batteries with correct polarity. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for a long period.
- Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings. Place the unit on a firm, flat surface to ensure proper airflow.
- Water and Moisture: Do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, or dripping/splashing liquids. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the unit.
- Heat: Keep the unit away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Cleaning: Unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth only.
- Servicing: Do not attempt to service this product yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
- Hearing Protection: Avoid listening at high volume levels for extended periods to prevent hearing damage.

4. Product Overview

Controls and Connections:
- Power/Source Button: Turns the unit on/off and switches between modes (CD, FM, Bluetooth, USB, AUX).
- Volume Knobs: Adjusts the audio output level.
- CD Compartment: Located on top, for inserting audio CDs.
- Display: Shows current mode, track number, radio frequency, etc.
- Playback Controls: Play/Pause, Stop, Skip Forward/Backward buttons for CD and USB playback.

5. Setup
5.1 Powering the Unit
AC Power Operation:
- Ensure the unit is switched off.
- Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC input jack on the back of the unit.
- Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet.
Battery Power Operation:
- Ensure the unit is switched off and disconnected from AC power.
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
- Insert 6 x 'C' size (LR14) batteries (not included) into the compartment, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: When the AC power cord is connected, battery power is automatically disconnected.
5.2 Antenna Setup
For optimal FM radio reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located at the back of the unit. You may need to adjust its position and angle to find the best signal.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Press the SOURCE button to turn the unit on. Press and hold the SOURCE button to turn the unit off.
- Volume Adjustment: Rotate the VOLUME knob on the right side of the unit to increase or decrease the sound level.
- Mode Selection: Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to cycle through available modes: CD, FM, Bluetooth, USB, AUX.
6.2 CD Playback
- Press the SOURCE button to select CD mode.
- Open the CD compartment cover by gently lifting it.
- Place a CD with the label side facing up onto the spindle.
- Close the CD compartment cover firmly until it clicks.
- The CD will begin playing automatically. If not, press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
- Use the SKIP FORWARD (next track) or SKIP BACKWARD (previous track) buttons to navigate between tracks.
- Press the STOP button to stop playback.
- Press the REPEAT button to repeat the current track (REP 1) or all tracks (REP ALL).
- Press the PROG button to program a custom playback order for CD tracks.
6.3 FM Radio Operation
- Press the SOURCE button to select FM mode.
- Extend the FM telescopic antenna for better reception.
- Manual Tuning: Rotate the TUNING knob to manually select your desired radio station.
- Auto Scan/Preset: Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button to automatically scan and save available FM stations. The unit can store up to 20 presets.
- Use the SKIP FORWARD/BACKWARD buttons to navigate through saved preset stations.
6.4 Bluetooth Connection
- Press the SOURCE button to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show "BT" and flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "M-35 BT" from the list of found devices.
- Once paired, the display will stop flashing and you can now stream audio from your device to the M-35 BT.
- Use your connected device or the unit's playback controls to manage music playback.
6.5 USB Playback (MP3)
- Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 audio files into the USB port.
- Press the SOURCE button to select USB mode.
- The unit will automatically detect and begin playing MP3 files from the USB drive.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, SKIP FORWARD/BACKWARD, and REPEAT buttons to control playback, similar to CD mode.
6.6 AUX-in Connection
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX-in jack on the unit.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player).
- Press the SOURCE button to select AUX mode.
- Start playback on your external device. The audio will be played through the M-35 BT speakers.
- Adjust the volume using the unit's VOLUME knob and/or your external device's volume control.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning the Unit
- Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the unit.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
- For the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc. Do not touch the lens directly.
7.2 CD Care
- Handle CDs by their edges to avoid fingerprints.
- Keep CDs in their cases when not in use to prevent scratches.
- Clean dirty CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping gently from the center outwards.
7.3 Battery Replacement
When the unit's performance on battery power diminishes, it's time to replace the batteries. Follow the instructions in Section 5.1 for battery installation, ensuring all 6 x LR14 batteries are replaced with new ones.
