5. Setup and Installation
Before you begin, ensure you have the necessary tools (e.g., drill, stud finder, level, screwdriver, socket wrench). Read all instructions carefully.
5.1 Pre-Installation Checks
- Check TV Compatibility: Verify your TV's size, weight, and VESA mounting pattern against the specifications for your mount model (PIMF4 or PILF12).
- Identify Wall Type: Determine if your wall is made of wood studs, solid concrete, or brick. Do not install on drywall alone.
- Locate TV Ports: Ensure the TV brackets will not block any essential ports on your television.

5.2 Installation Steps (General)
The installation process generally involves three main steps. Specific details may vary slightly between models and wall types, refer to the included paper manual for precise drilling templates and hardware selection.
- Attach TV Brackets: Secure the vertical TV brackets to the back of your television using the appropriate screws, washers, and spacers from the hardware kit. Ensure they are centered and level.
- Install Wall Plate:
- For Wood Studs: Use a stud finder to locate the center of your wood studs. Mark and pre-drill pilot holes. Secure the wall plate to the studs using the lag bolts and washers.
- For Concrete/Brick Walls: Mark and pre-drill pilot holes. Insert concrete anchors into the holes. Secure the wall plate using the lag bolts and washers.
- Hang TV: Carefully lift the television with the attached brackets and hook them onto the wall plate. Ensure the TV is securely seated. Engage any safety locking mechanisms if present.

6. Operating and Adjustments
Once installed, your full motion TV mount allows for various adjustments to optimize your viewing experience.
- Extension/Retraction: Gently pull the TV away from the wall to extend it, or push it back towards the wall to retract.
- Swivel: Carefully pivot the TV left or right to achieve the desired viewing angle. Both PIMF4 and PILF12 offer +/-45° swivel.
- Tilt:
- PIMF4: Adjust the tilt angle (+5°/-15°) by loosening and tightening the tilt knobs or bolts on the TV brackets.
- PILF12: This model features tool-free tilt adjustment (+5°/-15°). Simply adjust the screen to your preferred angle.
- Leveling: The PIMF4 model allows for +/-3° leveling adjustment after installation to correct any slight misalignment. Consult your paper manual for specific instructions on how to perform this adjustment.
- Height Adjustment (PIMF4): The PIMF4 mount offers 3 bracket height settings, allowing you to fine-tune the screen height even after the wall plate is installed.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodic Checks: Regularly inspect all mounting hardware and connections to ensure they are secure. Tighten any loose screws or bolts.
- Lubrication: The articulating arms are designed for smooth movement. No regular lubrication is typically required. If movement becomes stiff, contact customer support.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| TV is not level after installation. | Wall plate not perfectly level, or TV brackets slightly off. | For PIMF4, use the +/-3° post-installation leveling adjustment. For PILF12, ensure wall plate is perfectly level during installation. |
| Mount feels loose or unstable. | Mounting hardware not fully tightened, or incorrect wall anchors used. | Immediately remove TV. Re-check all fasteners and wall anchors. Ensure installation on appropriate wall type. Consult a professional if unsure. |
| Difficulty adjusting swivel/tilt. | Joints are too tight, or tilt knobs/bolts are not loosened (PIMF4). | For PIMF4, loosen tilt knobs/bolts slightly. For both models, ensure no cables are obstructing movement. |
| TV ports are blocked by brackets. | TV brackets positioned incorrectly. | Remove TV and re-position brackets, or use spacers to create clearance if possible. This should be checked during pre-installation. |
