3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking
Remove all packaging materials, tape, and protective film from the refrigerator. Dispose of packaging materials responsibly and keep them away from children.
3.2 Location Requirements
Place the refrigerator on a level, sturdy floor capable of supporting its weight. Allow adequate space around the unit for proper air circulation, typically 1 inch at the top and sides, and 2 inches at the back. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources (e.g., oven, radiator) to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Figure 3.1: Refrigerator dimensions: approximately 36 inches wide, 70 inches high, and 30.24 inches deep (27-3/4 inches depth without the grip handle).
3.3 Electrical Connection
Connect the refrigerator to a dedicated, grounded 115 Volt, 60 Hz, AC-only electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs, as this can create a fire hazard or electric shock.
3.4 Water Line Connection (for Water and Ice Dispenser)
A cold water supply is required for the ice maker and water dispenser. Connect the refrigerator to a potable water supply using a copper or PEX tubing kit. Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free. Flush the water system for several minutes before initial use to remove any air or impurities.
3.5 Initial Power-On
After connecting power and water, allow the refrigerator to cool for at least 4-6 hours before loading food. The ice maker will begin producing ice within 24 hours, with full production typically achieved after 72 hours.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Control Panel Overview
The external control panel allows you to adjust temperatures, select dispenser options, and activate special features.
Figure 4.1: The control panel displays freezer and refrigerator temperatures, and offers options for cubed ice, crushed ice, and water dispensing.

Use the temperature controls on the external panel to set desired temperatures for the freezer and refrigerator compartments. Recommended settings are 0°F (-18°C) for the freezer and 37°F (3°C) for the refrigerator. Allow 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize after adjustment.
4.3 Accela Chill Feature
The Accela Chill feature rapidly cools the refrigerator compartment. Activate this function after loading a large amount of groceries or when faster cooling of beverages is desired. Refer to the control panel for activation instructions; typically, it involves pressing a dedicated button.
4.4 Water and Ice Dispenser
The external dispenser provides filtered water, cubed ice, or crushed ice. Select the desired option on the control panel and press the dispenser paddle with your container. Ensure the container is properly aligned to prevent spills.

6. Troubleshooting
Before contacting service, review the following common issues and their potential solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator not cooling | Power cord unplugged; temperature control set too warm; door left open; inadequate ventilation. | Check power connection; adjust temperature setting; ensure door is closed properly; verify adequate space around the unit. |
| Ice maker not producing ice | Water supply turned off; clogged water filter; ice maker switch off; freezer temperature too high. | Verify water supply is on; replace water filter; ensure ice maker switch is ON; confirm freezer temperature is 0°F (-18°C) or colder. |
| Water dispenser not working | Water supply turned off; clogged water filter; air in water line; dispenser locked. | Verify water supply is on; replace water filter; dispense water for 2-3 minutes to clear air; check if dispenser lock is engaged. |
| Unusual noises | Refrigerator not level; items vibrating inside; normal operating sounds (e.g., refrigerant flow, defrost cycle). | Level the refrigerator using the adjustable feet; rearrange items to prevent contact; consult the manual for a list of normal operating sounds. |
