1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, installation, and operation of your DIGITUS SOHO Pro 7U Network Cabinet, Model DN-49203. Please read these instructions carefully before beginning assembly to ensure safe and correct installation.

Safety Information

• Ensure all components are present and undamaged before assembly.
• Always use appropriate tools and follow safety guidelines during installation.
• The cabinet is designed for a maximum load capacity of 60 kg (132.3 lbs). Do not exceed this limit.
• Wall mounting requires suitable fasteners for your wall type (not included). Consult a professional if unsure.
• Keep children and pets away from the assembly area.

2. Product Features

The DIGITUS SOHO Pro 7U Network Cabinet offers a robust and versatile solution for housing network and server equipment.

3. Assembly Instructions

The DIGITUS SOHO Pro Network Cabinet is delivered unassembled for optimized transport. Follow these steps for assembly.

3.1. Unpacking and Initial Setup

1. Step 1: Unpack the Cabinet Components. Carefully remove all parts of the 19-inch SOHO cabinet from its packaging. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.
2. Step 2: Open Side Panels. Open the hinged side panels of the cabinet body.

3.2. Attaching Base and Door

3. Step 3: Attach Bottom Panel. Slide the bottom plate onto the cabinet body, ensuring the recesses of the bottom plate align and insert into the gaps of the body. Secure the bottom panel to the body using the provided screws. For 9U/12U cabinets, ensure horizontal screws are mounted first, followed by vertical screws. Mount the plastic door stopper on the lock side of the glass door.
4. Step 4: Install Glass Door (Bottom Hinge). Lay the cabinet body down with the bottom panel facing the backside. Insert the top hinge pin of the glass door into the hinge hole of the top panel.

3.3. Finalizing Assembly

5. Step 5: Attach Top Panel. Slide the top panel onto the body, aligning the recesses. Insert the top hinge pin of the glass door into the hinge hole of the top panel. Ensure the top panel recesses are inserted into the panel gap of the body. Assemble the bottom panel to the body using 4 screws.
6. Step 6: Position Cabinet. Place the cabinet upright on the floor. Bend the recesses of the bottom panel downwards and the recesses of the top panel upwards to secure.

3.4. Wall Mounting

The cabinet is designed for wall mounting. Ensure the wall can support the cabinet's weight plus the weight of installed equipment (up to 60 kg total).

• Identify suitable mounting points on the back of the cabinet.
• Mark the drilling locations on the wall using the cabinet as a template.
• Drill holes and insert appropriate wall anchors (not supplied).
• Secure the cabinet to the wall using screws.

4. Operation

4.1. Installing Equipment

• Open the front glass door using the provided key.
• Adjust the depth of the 19-inch profile rails as needed to accommodate your equipment.
• Mount your 19-inch compatible devices (e.g., switches, patch panels, servers) to the profile rails using appropriate rack screws (not included).

4.2. Cable Management

• Utilize the cable entry points located at the top and bottom of the cabinet for routing network cables.
• Remove the plastic caps from the cable entries as needed.
• Ensure cables are neatly organized and secured to prevent strain or interference.

4.3. Ventilation

• The cabinet features passive ventilation through slots on the front.
• For enhanced cooling, optional fan units can be installed in the pre-drilled brackets on the ceiling of the cabinet.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Inspection: Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Inspect the door hinges and lock for proper function.
• Ventilation: Ensure ventilation slots are not obstructed to maintain proper airflow.

6. Troubleshooting

Most issues with the network cabinet are related to assembly or installation. Refer to the assembly instructions if you encounter any difficulties.

• Cabinet is wobbly after assembly: Recheck all screw connections to ensure they are tightened securely. Ensure the cabinet is placed on a level surface or properly mounted to the wall.
• Door does not close properly: Verify that the door hinges are correctly installed and aligned. Check for any obstructions. The door hinge can be adjusted or reversed if needed.
• Difficulty inserting equipment: Ensure the 19-inch profile rails are correctly positioned and adjusted to the required depth.
