- Ensure the air pistol is unloaded and the magazine is removed.
- Point the air pistol in a safe direction and pull the trigger to ensure it is decocked.

5.2 Cleaning and Lubrication
- Clean the barrel using a cleaning rod and appropriate cleaning patches.
- Wipe down all metal components with a clean cloth.

6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your SIG SAUER P320 X-CARRY Air Pistol.
6.1 Slide Stuck in Half-Cocked Position / Failure to Go Into Battery
Some users have reported the slide getting stuck in a partially engaged position, preventing the air pistol from firing or fully cycling. This can often be resolved by resetting the internal hammer mechanism.
- Ensure the air pistol is unloaded and the magazine is removed.
- Field strip the air pistol as described in Section 5.1.
- With the slide removed, locate the hammer mechanism within the frame.
- Using a non-marring tool (e.g., a plastic or wooden rod, or an Allen key if carefully used), gently push the hammer back until it clicks and stays in the fully decocked position. Avoid excessive force.
- Reassemble the air pistol according to Section 5.3.
- Function test the air pistol to ensure the slide cycles freely and the trigger operates correctly.
If the issue persists after following these steps, contact customer support.
