4. Installation Guide

Installation is straightforward and requires only a Phillips screwdriver. No additional wiring is needed.

4.1 Door Preparation

4.2 Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Install the Latch: Insert the deadbolt latch into the door edge. Ensure the "TOP" indicator on the latch is facing upwards. Secure with screws.
  2. Install the Exterior Keypad: Feed the cable from the exterior keypad through the door hole and under the latch. Position the keypad flush against the door.
  3. Install the Mounting Plate: Align the mounting plate over the latch and the cable. Secure it to the exterior keypad using the long screws provided.
  4. Connect and Install the Interior Assembly: Connect the cable from the exterior keypad to the interior thumb-turn assembly. Ensure the thumb-turn is in the vertical (unlocked) position. Mount the interior assembly onto the mounting plate and secure with screws.
  5. Install Batteries: Remove the battery cover on the interior assembly. Insert 4 AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Replace the battery cover.
  6. Install Strike Plate: Install the strike plate on the door frame, aligning it with the deadbolt latch. Secure with screws.
  7. Test Operation: Test the lock with the physical key and by manually operating the thumb-turn to ensure smooth operation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Default Master Code

The lock comes with a default master code. It is highly recommended to change this code immediately after installation for security purposes. Refer to the programming section for details.

5.4 Programming User Codes

The lock supports up to 50 user codes and 10 single-use codes.

  1. Change Master Code:
    • Press the Program button (located on the interior assembly).
    • Enter the current Master Code, then press the Lock button.
    • Press 1, then press the Lock button.
    • Enter the new 4-8 digit Master Code, then press the Lock button.
    • Re-enter the new Master Code, then press the Lock button to confirm.
  2. Add User Code:
    • Press the Program button.
    • Enter the Master Code, then press the Lock button.
    • Press 2, then press the Lock button.
    • Enter the new 4-8 digit User Code, then press the Lock button.
    • Re-enter the new User Code, then press the Lock button to confirm.
  3. Add One-Time User Code:
    • Press the Program button.
    • Enter the Master Code, then press the Lock button.
    • Press 3, then press the Lock button.
    • Enter the new 4-8 digit One-Time User Code, then press the Lock button.
    • Re-enter the new One-Time User Code, then press the Lock button to confirm. (This code will expire after one use).
  4. Delete User Code:
    • Press the Program button.
    • Enter the Master Code, then press the Lock button.
    • Press 4, then press the Lock button.
    • Enter the User Code to be deleted, then press the Lock button.
  5. Delete All User Codes (except Master Code):
    • Press the Program button.
    • Enter the Master Code, then press the Lock button.
    • Press 5, then press the Lock button.

5.5 Auto-Locking Feature

The auto-locking feature can be customized to relock the deadbolt after a specified delay.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Replacement

The lock is powered by 4 AA batteries. A low battery indicator will alert you when batteries need replacement. Battery life can last up to 24 months or longer.

6.2 Cleaning

Clean the keypad and lock body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
