The Milly Mally Little Star 3-in-1 Scooter is designed for easy assembly and conversion between modes.
4.1. Assembling the Ride-on Mode (with Seat and Parental Handle)
- Attach the Seat: Securely attach the comfortable, contoured seat to the main frame using the provided seat reinforcement frame. Ensure it clicks into place or is fastened according to the specific mechanism.
- Install Parental Handle: Insert the parental handle into its designated slot at the rear of the frame. Adjust the height of the parental handle to one of the 3 available positions for comfortable pushing.
- Handlebar: Ensure the handlebar is securely attached. In ride-on mode, the child uses the handlebar for steering, while the parent controls direction with the parental handle.
4.2. Converting to Scooter Mode
- Remove Parental Handle: Detach the parental handle from the rear of the frame.
- Remove Seat: Unfasten and remove the seat and its reinforcement frame from the main deck.
- Adjust Handlebar: Ensure the handlebar is at an appropriate height for the child to comfortably stand and steer. The handlebar height is adjustable.
- Check Connections: Verify that all connections are secure before allowing the child to use the scooter.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Using as a Ride-on (Balance Bike with Parental Handle)
- Ensure the seat is securely attached and at a comfortable height for the child to reach the ground with their feet.
- The child sits on the seat and uses their feet to push off the ground, developing balance and coordination.
- The parent can assist and guide the child using the adjustable parental handle.
5.2. Using as a Scooter
- Ensure the seat and parental handle are removed.
- The scooter features a lean-to-steer mechanism. To turn, the child should lean their body slightly in the desired direction.
- To move forward, the child pushes off the ground with one foot while the other foot remains on the anti-slip platform.
- Braking: The scooter is equipped with a front brake. To slow down or stop, the child should gently press the brake lever. Practice braking in a safe area before regular use.
- Light-Up Wheels: The front wheels are designed to light up during motion, adding to the fun and visibility.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the scooter with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Regularly check all screws, bolts, and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Tighten if necessary.
- Wheels: Inspect the wheels for wear and tear. Ensure they spin freely. The high-quality rubber wheels provide good grip and quiet operation.
- Brake: Check the front brake for proper function. Ensure the brake lever is responsive and the brake pad makes full contact with the wheel.
- Storage: Store the scooter in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to prolong its lifespan.
