5. Operating Instructions

5.1. General Operation

  1. Prepare the Workpiece: Secure the workpiece firmly to prevent movement during cutting. Mark your cutting line clearly.
  2. Select Blade: Choose the appropriate blade for the material and type of cut (e.g., wood, metal, fine cut, rough cut).
  3. Adjust Speed: Use the speed regulator to set the desired stroke speed (800-3000 rpm). Lower speeds are generally for harder materials or more precise cuts, higher speeds for softer materials or faster cuts.
  4. Start Cutting:
    • Place the base plate of the tool flat on the workpiece.
    • Engage the safety switch, then press the trigger to start the tool.
    • Allow the blade to reach full speed before engaging the workpiece.
    • Guide the tool along the cutting line with steady, even pressure. Do not force the tool; let the blade do the work.
  5. Integrated LED Work Light: The LED light will automatically illuminate the cutting area when the tool is in operation.

5.2. Jigsaw Mode Specifics

In jigsaw mode, the tool is ideal for intricate cuts, curves, and shorter cuts in various materials.

  • Pendulum Stroke: The switchable pendulum stroke accelerates sawing progress. Use it for faster, rougher cuts in wood and similar materials. For fine cuts or cutting metal, switch off the pendulum action.
  • Cutting Capacity (Jigsaw):
    • Max. 50 mm in wood
    • Max. 4 mm in metal

5.3. Reciprocating Saw Mode Specifics

In reciprocating saw mode, the tool is suitable for demolition work, cutting pipes, and general rough cutting.

  • Cutting Capacity (Reciprocating Saw):
    • Max. 100 mm in wood
    • Max. 50 mm in metal
  • Technique: For best results, allow the shoe of the saw to rest against the workpiece during cutting. This provides stability and reduces vibration.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

  • Always disconnect the battery before cleaning.
  • Clean the tool regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Keep the ventilation openings clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating. Use compressed air if necessary.
