Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your patio umbrella. It is recommended to have two people for easier assembly due to the size of the umbrella.
- Assemble the Base Stand: Connect the base rails and main support using the provided hardware. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened.
- Add Weight to Sandbags: Fill the two included sandbags with sand (approximately 50 lbs each) to provide stability for the umbrella. Place the filled sandbags onto the assembled base stand.
- Cover the Base: Place the fabric base cover over the sandbags and base stand for a neat appearance.
- Attach the Main Pole: Insert the main pole into the center of the assembled base. Secure it by tightening the knobs or screws on the base.
- Attach the Umbrella Canopy: Carefully lift the folded umbrella canopy and insert its lower pole section into the top of the main pole. Ensure it clicks into place or is securely screwed.
- Connect Solar Panel: The solar panel is typically integrated at the top. Ensure any necessary wiring connections are made as per the detailed instructions in the included manual.

Operating Instructions
- Opening the Umbrella: Locate the hand crank on the main pole. Turn the crank clockwise to smoothly open the umbrella canopy until it is fully extended.
- Closing the Umbrella: Turn the hand crank counter-clockwise to retract the canopy. Once fully closed, use the buckle band to secure the canopy tightly around the pole for storage.
- Activating Solar LED Lights: A handy switch is located on the main pole. Flip the switch to turn the 36 solar-powered LED lights on or off. The lights are charged by the top solar panel and provide up to 8 hours of illumination after a full charge.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the canopy with water and a mild detergent. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: When not in use, especially during strong winds or adverse weather conditions, close the umbrella and secure it with the buckle band. For long-term storage, store the umbrella in a dry place to protect the fabric and frame.
- Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep sharp objects away from the canopy to prevent tears or damage.
- Solar Panel Care: Periodically wipe the solar panel clean to ensure maximum sun exposure and efficient charging of the LED lights.
Troubleshooting
- Umbrella not opening/closing smoothly: Check the hand crank mechanism for any obstructions or damage. Ensure the pole is correctly aligned and secured in the base.
- LED lights not working:
- Ensure the power switch on the pole is in the "ON" position.
- Verify the solar panel is clean and receiving direct sunlight for several hours to charge the battery.
- Check the solar AA rechargeable battery for proper installation and charge. Replace if necessary.
- Umbrella unstable: Ensure the base is properly weighted with sandbags (recommended 100 lbs total) and securely tightened. Avoid using the umbrella in high winds.
