1. Important Safety Instructions

  • Do not fill the kettle above the maximum fill line to prevent boiling water from overflowing.
  • Always close the lid securely during operation.
  • Avoid contact with steam escaping from the spout or lid, especially during refilling.
  • Unplug the kettle from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
  • This kettle is for boiling water only. Do not use it for other liquids.
  • The kettle features double-wall insulation to reduce the risk of burns from touching the exterior. However, caution should still be exercised.

3. Setup and First Use

Unpacking:

  • Carefully remove all packaging materials from the kettle and its components.
  • Check for any damage during transit. If damaged, do not use the appliance and contact customer support.

Initial Cleaning:

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the kettle to remove any manufacturing residues.

  1. Open the lid by pressing the button on the handle.
  2. Fill the kettle with clean water up to the MAX fill line.
  3. Close the lid securely.
  4. Place the kettle on its power base.
  5. Plug the power base into a suitable electrical outlet.
  6. Boil the water (refer to Section 4.1 for boiling instructions).
  7. Discard the boiled water.
  8. Repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure thorough cleaning.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Filling the Kettle:

  1. Ensure the kettle is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Press the lid release button to open the lid.
  3. Fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark.
  4. Close the lid firmly until it clicks into place.

4.2 Powering On and Boiling Water:

  1. Place the filled kettle onto its power base.
  2. Plug the power base into a suitable electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
  3. On the touch screen, select your desired temperature using the '+' and '-' buttons. The kettle offers a temperature range from 25°C to 100°C.
  4. Press the 'Boiling' icon (often represented by steam waves) to start the heating process. The display will show the current water temperature.
  5. The kettle will automatically switch off once the selected temperature is reached.

4.3 Keep Warm Function:

This function maintains the water at your chosen temperature for a set period.

  1. After selecting your desired temperature (as in 4.2), press the 'Keep Warm' icon (often represented by a cup with steam).
  2. The kettle will heat the water to the set temperature and then maintain it, automatically reheating if the temperature drops.
  3. To deactivate, press the 'Power' button or lift the kettle from its base.

4.4 Dechlorination Function:

This function helps to reduce chlorine content in water, improving taste.

  1. Fill the kettle with water.
  2. Select the 'Dechlorination' icon on the touch screen.
  3. The kettle will perform a specific heating cycle designed to reduce chlorine.
  4. Once complete, the kettle will automatically switch off.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your kettle and ensure optimal performance.

5.1 General Cleaning:

  1. Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
  3. The interior of the kettle should be hand washed only. Do not use a dishwasher.
  4. Ensure no water enters the electrical components on the power base.

5.2 Descaling:

Limescale can build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas, affecting performance and taste. The kettle features an automatic descaling function.

  1. Fill the kettle with water and a suitable descaling solution (e.g., white vinegar or citric acid solution, following the descaler's instructions).
  2. Select the 'Descaling' icon on the touch screen. The kettle will run a specific cycle to help remove limescale.
  3. After the cycle, discard the descaling solution.
  4. Rinse the interior of the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times to remove any residue.
  5. Boil fresh water 2-3 times and discard it before using the kettle for beverages.
