Setup
1. Battery Installation (Octobot Robot)
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the Octobot robot.
- Using a small screwdriver (not included), open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
2. Battery Installation (Remote Control)
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Using a small screwdriver (not included), open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
3. Powering On and Pairing
- Turn on the Octobot robot using the ON/OFF switch, usually located on its back or underside.
- Turn on the remote control using its ON/OFF switch.
- The robot and remote control should automatically pair. The Octobot's LED face may display an animation to indicate successful pairing.
- If pairing fails, turn both devices off and then on again, ensuring they are close to each other.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Movement
Use the joystick or directional buttons on the remote control to guide the Octobot:
- Forward: Push the joystick/button forward.
- 360-Degree Rotations: The Octobot can perform full 360-degree rotations. Use the designated rotation button or joystick movement to initiate.

2. Programming Mode
The Octobot can be programmed with up to 15 steps:
