  • Wide Angle Eyepiece: The lenses through which you view the specimen.
  • Eyepiece Tube: Holds the eyepieces.
  • Microscope Adapter: Point of attachment for external devices (e.g., smartphone adapter).
  • LED Upper Light Source: Provides illumination for opaque specimens.
  • Objective Lens: Rotating turret with multiple magnification lenses (4X, 10X, 40X).
  • Loading Platform (Stage): Flat surface where specimens are placed.
  • Filter Disc: Allows selection of different colored filters for enhanced contrast.
  • Focusing Handwheel: Coarse and fine adjustment knobs for focusing.
  • LED Lower Light Source: Provides illumination for transparent specimens.
  • Light Source Adjustment Button: Controls the brightness of the LED lights.
  • Base: Provides stability for the microscope.

5. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Placement: Place the microscope on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight and vibrations.
  3. Eyepiece Installation: Insert the desired eyepieces (WF10X or WF50X) into the eyepiece tubes.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the microscope's power input and then to a suitable electrical outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Placing a Specimen

  1. Place a prepared slide onto the loading platform (stage).
  2. Secure the slide using the stage clips.
  3. Use the stage adjustment knobs (if present) to center the specimen under the objective lens.

6.2. Adjusting Magnification

The microscope offers various magnification levels by combining different eyepieces and objective lenses.

  1. Rotate the objective lens turret to select the lowest magnification objective (e.g., 4X) first. This provides a wider field of view for initial specimen location.
  2. Once the specimen is located and roughly focused, rotate the turret to a higher magnification objective (e.g., 10X, 40X) as needed.

6.3. Focusing

  1. While looking through the eyepieces, slowly turn the coarse focusing handwheel to bring the specimen into approximate focus.
  2. Once roughly focused, use the fine focusing handwheel for precise and sharp image adjustment.

6.4. Illumination Adjustment

The microscope features both upper and lower LED light sources for different types of specimens.

  1. For transparent specimens (e.g., prepared slides), use the LED Lower Light Source. Adjust its brightness using the light source adjustment button.
  2. For opaque specimens (e.g., leaves, fabric), use the LED Upper Light Source. Adjust its brightness as needed.
  3. The filter disc can be rotated to select different colored filters to enhance contrast for various specimens.

6.5. Using a Smartphone Adapter (Optional)

To capture images or videos of your observations, you can attach a smartphone adapter (not included with this model) to one of the eyepieces.

  1. Securely attach the smartphone adapter to one of the eyepieces.
  2. Mount your smartphone onto the adapter, ensuring the camera lens is aligned with the eyepiece.
  3. Open your smartphone's camera application.
  4. Adjust the microscope's focus and illumination until a clear image appears on your phone screen. You may need to zoom in or out on your phone's camera app to fill the screen.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning Lenses: Use a soft brush to remove dust, then gently wipe with lens paper and a small amount of lens cleaning solution. Do not use abrasive materials.
  • Cleaning Body: Wipe the microscope body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, cover the microscope with the provided dust cover and store it in its carrying bag in a cool, dry place.
  • Lubrication: Moving parts are factory-lubricated and generally do not require additional lubrication. If movement becomes stiff, consult a professional.
