3. Safety Information
Important Purchase Note: This system is intended for new and remodeled bathrooms only. Installation requires the removal of existing tiles and fixtures, and repiping. Please consult a qualified plumber before purchasing and commencing installation.
The thermostatic valve is designed to prevent scalding by maintaining a consistent water temperature. The temperature can be locked at 38°C (100°F) for safety, especially for children and the elderly. Always test the water temperature before entering the shower.
4. Installation Instructions
Professional installation is highly recommended due to the complexity of this shower system, which involves significant plumbing work and wall modifications. Ensure all local plumbing codes are followed.
4.1 Pre-Installation Checklist:
- Confirm all components are present and undamaged.
- Ensure water supply lines are shut off.
- Verify wall structure can support the system and allow for necessary repiping.
- Have appropriate tools available (e.g., pipe wrenches, level, measuring tape, sealant).
4.2 Rough-in Valve Installation:
The rough-in valve is the core of the system. It features a brass main body, thermostatic valve core, and built-in check valves. Inlets and outlets are 1/2" NPT.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Temperature Control:
The bottom knob on the control panel adjusts the water temperature. To change the temperature above the safety lock (38°C/100°F), press the safety button on the knob and rotate it to your desired temperature. For temperatures below 38°C, simply rotate the knob without pressing the button.
5.2 Water Outlet Selection:
The control panel features multiple knobs to select and control the various water outlets:
- Top Knob: Controls the 16-inch rainfall shower head.
- Second Knob: Controls the 6-inch secondary shower head.
- Third Knob: Controls the hand shower.
- Fourth Knob: Controls the body jets.
Rotate the respective knob to turn on/off and adjust the flow for each outlet. Multiple outlets can be operated simultaneously.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Shower Heads and Hand Shower:
The shower heads and hand shower are equipped with silicone nozzles. To remove mineral deposits (limescale), simply wipe the nozzles with your finger or a soft cloth. This should be done regularly to maintain optimal spray performance.
6.2 Cleaning the Finish:
To clean the matte black finish, use a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your shower system, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Low Water Pressure: Check if the water supply valves are fully open. Ensure shower head nozzles are clear of mineral buildup (refer to Maintenance section). If the issue persists, consult a plumber to check household water pressure or internal plumbing.
- Inconsistent Water Temperature: Verify that the thermostatic valve is set correctly. If the temperature fluctuates significantly, there might be an issue with the hot or cold water supply pressure. Ensure the safety lock is disengaged if you intend to set a temperature above 38°C.
- Leaks: Check all visible connections for tightness. If leaks occur from within the wall or from components, immediately shut off the main water supply and contact a qualified plumber.
- No Water from a Specific Outlet: Ensure the corresponding control knob is fully open. Check for any obstructions in the water path to that specific outlet.
For complex issues or if troubleshooting steps do not resolve the problem, it is recommended to contact a professional plumber or EVERSTEIN customer support.
