2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your rice cooker for the first time.
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories from the box.
- Initial Cleaning: Wash the inner pot, de-sugar steam rack, rice spatula, soup ladle, measuring cup, and detachable inner cap with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Placement: Place the rice cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit. The non-slip feet will help keep the unit stable.
- Power Connection: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into the rice cooker and then into a grounded electrical outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
This section details how to operate your Mayer MMRC4080IH Rice Cooker.
5.1 Basic Rice Cooking
- Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Add to Inner Pot: Place the rinsed rice into the inner pot.
