5. Maintenance and OLED Care
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your OLED monitor, ASUS has implemented several OLED Care functions. These functions help mitigate the risk of image retention (burn-in) and maintain picture quality over time.
5.1 OLED Care Functions:
- Screen Saver: Automatically dims the screen brightness when no movement is detected for a period of time. This reduces static image exposure.
- Adjust Logo Brightness: Automatically adjusts the brightness of static logos or UI elements to prevent potential image quality issues.
- Uniform Brightness: Ensures consistent luminance levels across the entire screen, which can be beneficial for prolonged viewing and reduces eye strain.

Figure 5.1: Visual comparison of Uniform Brightness setting (left: ON, right: OFF).
- Pixel Cleaning: A process that detects and corrects pixel degradation. This should be run periodically (e.g., every 4 hours of use) or when prompted by the monitor. The process takes approximately 6 minutes.
- Pixel Refresh: A shorter process that helps prevent temporary image retention by refreshing the pixels. This typically runs automatically after a certain period of use or when the monitor is turned off.
- Screen Move: Slightly shifts the displayed image by a few pixels to prevent static elements from causing burn-in. This movement is usually imperceptible during normal use.
These functions can be accessed and configured via the OSD menu under "OLED Care" or through the ASUS DisplayWidget Center software.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your monitor, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps before contacting technical support.
6.1 No Power / No Display
- Ensure the power cord is securely connected to the monitor and a working power outlet.
- Verify the power adapter is correctly connected to the monitor.
- Check if the power indicator light on the monitor is on. If not, try a different power outlet.
- Press the monitor's power button to ensure it is turned on.
6.2 No Signal / Blank Screen
- Confirm that the video cable (DisplayPort, HDMI, or USB-C) is securely connected to both the monitor and your computer's graphics card.
- Ensure your computer is powered on and not in sleep mode.
- Use the OSD menu to manually select the correct input source (e.g., DisplayPort, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, USB-C).
- Try connecting the monitor to a different video output port on your graphics card or a different device to rule out a port issue.
- If using a desktop PC, ensure your graphics card drivers are up to date.
6.3 Image Quality Issues
- Flickering/Distorted Image: Check video cable connections. Ensure the refresh rate and resolution settings in your operating system match the monitor's capabilities.
- Incorrect Colors: Reset OSD color settings to default. Ensure your graphics card drivers are installed correctly. Consider running a color calibration.
- Image Retention (Temporary): This is normal for OLED panels and usually resolves itself. Utilize the OLED Care functions (Pixel Refresh, Pixel Cleaning) as described in Section 5. Avoid displaying static images for extended periods.
- Brightness Inconsistency: Enable the "Uniform Brightness" setting in the OSD or DisplayWidget Center.
