Fuel and Lubrication
This chainsaw uses a 2-cycle engine and requires a specific fuel mixture and chain lubricant.
Fuel Mixture (Gasoline and 2-Cycle Oil)
- Mix unleaded gasoline with high-quality 2-cycle engine oil at a 50:1 ratio (2.6 oz of oil per 1 gallon of gasoline).
- Use fresh gasoline with an octane rating of 89 or higher.
- Do not use E85 fuel or automotive oil.
- Mix fuel in a separate, approved fuel container. Shake well before filling the chainsaw's fuel tank.
Chain Lubrication (Bar and Chain Oil)
- Fill the chain oil reservoir with quality bar and chain oil.
- The automatic oiling system will lubricate the chain during operation. Regularly check the oil level.
- Never operate the chainsaw without sufficient bar and chain oil.
Operating Instructions
Starting the Chainsaw

- Place the chainsaw on a firm, flat surface.
- Engage the chain brake by pushing the front hand guard forward.
- Push the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible.
- Set the choke lever to the "Full Choke" position.
- Pull the starter cord firmly and smoothly until the engine "pops" or attempts to start. Do not pull the cord to its full extension.
- Once the engine "pops," move the choke lever to the "Half Choke" or "Run" position (refer to specific model markings).
- Pull the starter cord again until the engine starts.
- Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments, then disengage the chain brake.
Cutting Techniques
- Always maintain a balanced stance and firm grip.
- Identify potential kickback zones (the upper quadrant of the guide bar tip).
- Begin cutting with the chain running at full speed.
- Use bucking spikes for leverage and control when cutting larger logs.
- Be aware of falling branches and shifting logs.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your chainsaw.
Chain Adjustment

- Ensure the engine is off and the chain brake is engaged.
- Loosen the bar nuts slightly using the provided scrench.
- Turn the chain tensioning screw (located on the side) clockwise to tighten the chain or counter-clockwise to loosen it.
- The chain should be snug against the guide bar, but still able to be pulled freely by hand.
- Retighten the bar nuts securely.
Air Filter Cleaning
- Locate the quick-release air filter cover.
- Remove the cover and carefully take out the air filter.
- Clean the filter using compressed air or wash it with warm, soapy water. Allow it to dry completely before reinstallation.
- Replace the air filter if it is damaged or excessively dirty.
Chain Sharpening
- A dull chain requires more effort to cut and can be dangerous.
- Use the provided file or a suitable chain sharpening tool to maintain the sharpness of the chain cutters.
- Refer to the chain manufacturer's specifications for the correct filing angles.
