4. Setup
4.1 Initial Connection
- Power Connection: Connect the provided DC 5V power adapter to the DC 5V power supply interface (7) on the rear panel.
- Power On: Flip the power switch (9) to the 'ON' position. The LCD display (2) should illuminate.
- Output Connection: Connect your test leads or oscilloscope probes to the desired output channels (CH1 (11) or CH2 (10)) using BNC connectors.
- USB Connection (Optional): For PC control, connect the USB communication interface (8) to your computer using the provided USB cable.
4.2 Basic Interface Navigation
Use the function buttons (1), arrow keys (4), and the adjustment knob/OK key (6) to navigate through the menus and adjust parameters on the color LCD display (2).
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Waveform Generation
To generate a standard waveform (e.g., Sine, Square, Triangle):
- Press the WAVE button (part of 1) to select the desired waveform type.
- Use the arrow keys (4) to navigate to parameters such as Frequency (FREQ), Amplitude (AMPL), Offset (OFFS), and Duty Cycle (DUTY).
- Turn the adjustment knob (6) to change the value of the selected parameter. Press the knob to confirm or switch between coarse/fine adjustment.
- Ensure the desired channel (CH1 or CH2) is enabled using the channel control switch (5).
5.2 Advanced Waveform Generation (Arbitrary Waveform)
The FY2300 supports arbitrary waveform generation. This typically involves creating a custom waveform using PC software and then uploading it to the device.

As shown in Figure 5.1, you can draw an arbitrary waveform in the PC software's waveform window and then click "Send Waveform Data" to transfer it to the generator. The generator's display will show the waveform parameters, and an oscilloscope can visualize the output.
5.3 Sweep Function
The sweep function allows the frequency, amplitude, offset, or duty cycle to change over a specified range and time.
- Press the SWEEP button (part of 1).
- Configure the sweep type (Linear or Logarithm), sweep objects (Frequency, Amplitude, Offset, Duty Cycle), starting and finishing positions, and sweep time.
- Activate the sweep function.
5.4 Measurement Function
The MEAS button (part of 1) allows access to measurement functions, typically for external signals connected to the EXT.IN port (12).
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the instrument. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place, away from dust and extreme temperatures.
- Calibration: Regular calibration by qualified personnel is recommended to maintain accuracy, especially in professional applications.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for firmware updates that may improve performance or add features.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your FeelTech FY2300 12M, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Power:
- Ensure the power adapter is correctly connected to the DC 5V port.
- Verify the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
- Check if the power adapter is functioning correctly.
- No Output Signal:
- Confirm that the desired channel (CH1 or CH2) is enabled.
- Check the output cable connections to the oscilloscope or load.
- Verify that the amplitude and frequency settings are not set to zero or an invalid range.
- Incorrect Waveform Display:
- Ensure the oscilloscope settings (time base, voltage scale) are appropriate for the generated waveform.
- Check for proper impedance matching between the generator and the load.
- PC Software Connection Issues:
- Verify the USB cable is securely connected to both the device and the computer.
- Ensure the correct USB driver is installed on your computer.
- Check the COM port settings in the PC software.
If the problem persists, contact customer support for further assistance.
