Product Overview
The TECHTONICS Non-Destructive MP3 Decoding Board is a versatile module designed for playing MP3 audio files from a micro SD card (TF Card) or a USB flash drive (U Disk). It features an onboard 2W mono amplifier, capable of up to 3W output with a 5V power supply, suitable for driving a 4Ω 3W speaker. Additionally, it includes a 3.5mm gold-plated headphone jack for connecting headphones or external audio devices. The module supports flexible power options, including mobile power supply, 3.7V lithium battery, or a 5V USB power supply via its MicroUSB port. Its design allows for easy integration into various projects without requiring complex soldering for speaker connections, making it ideal for applications such as playing messages, warning signals, or custom audio projects.

Setup Guide
- Power Connection:
Connect the power supply to the module. You can use a 3.7V lithium battery, a 5V USB power supply via the MicroUSB port, or direct 3.7V-5.5V DC input to the BAT+ and BAT- terminals. Ensure correct polarity.

Figure 2: Detail of the power input section, showing the MicroUSB port for 5V power and the BAT+ / BAT- terminals for battery or direct DC input. Proper connection is crucial for operation.
- Speaker Connection:
Connect a 4Ω 3W speaker to the SP+ and SP- terminals. The module features solderless speaker terminals for easy wiring. Ensure the speaker impedance matches the recommendation for optimal performance and to prevent damage.

- Audio Source Insertion:
Insert a TF card (micro SD card) with MP3 files into the TF card slot, or connect a USB flash drive (U disk) with MP3 files to the USB-A port. The module will prioritize TF card playback if both are present.

Figure 4: This image illustrates the media input options, specifically the USB-A port for U disks and the TF card slot for micro SD cards. Ensure media is inserted correctly.
- Headphone/External Audio (Optional):
If desired, connect headphones or an external audio system to the 3.5mm gold-plated headphone jack.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the module. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the module in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Handle the board by its edges to avoid touching components, which could cause damage from static electricity or oils.
- Power Off: Disconnect power when not in use for extended periods.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power/Module not turning on. | Incorrect power connection or insufficient voltage. | Verify power supply connections (BAT+/BAT- or MicroUSB). Ensure voltage is within 3.7V-5.5V range. |
| No sound from speaker/headphones. | Speaker/headphone not connected properly; volume too low; no valid MP3 files. | Check speaker/headphone connections. Increase volume using 'Next/V++' button. Ensure MP3 files are present on TF card/U disk and are not corrupted. |
| Cannot read TF card/U disk. | Card/disk not inserted correctly; unsupported format; corrupted media. | Re-insert TF card/U disk. Ensure media is formatted correctly (FAT32 recommended). Try a different TF card/U disk. Ensure files are in MP3 format. |
| LED not flashing during playback. | No MP3 file playing; module error. | Ensure an MP3 file is actively playing. Check audio source and connections. Power cycle the module. |
