Product Overview

The TECHTONICS Non-Destructive MP3 Decoding Board is a versatile module designed for playing MP3 audio files from a micro SD card (TF Card) or a USB flash drive (U Disk). It features an onboard 2W mono amplifier, capable of up to 3W output with a 5V power supply, suitable for driving a 4Ω 3W speaker. Additionally, it includes a 3.5mm gold-plated headphone jack for connecting headphones or external audio devices. The module supports flexible power options, including mobile power supply, 3.7V lithium battery, or a 5V USB power supply via its MicroUSB port. Its design allows for easy integration into various projects without requiring complex soldering for speaker connections, making it ideal for applications such as playing messages, warning signals, or custom audio projects.

Setup Guide

  1. Power Connection:

    Connect the power supply to the module. You can use a 3.7V lithium battery, a 5V USB power supply via the MicroUSB port, or direct 3.7V-5.5V DC input to the BAT+ and BAT- terminals. Ensure correct polarity.

  2. Speaker Connection:

    Connect a 4Ω 3W speaker to the SP+ and SP- terminals. The module features solderless speaker terminals for easy wiring. Ensure the speaker impedance matches the recommendation for optimal performance and to prevent damage.

  3. Audio Source Insertion:

    Insert a TF card (micro SD card) with MP3 files into the TF card slot, or connect a USB flash drive (U disk) with MP3 files to the USB-A port. The module will prioritize TF card playback if both are present.

  4. Headphone/External Audio (Optional):

    If desired, connect headphones or an external audio system to the 3.5mm gold-plated headphone jack.

Operating Instructions

Once powered on and with an audio source inserted, the module will automatically begin playback. The red LED will flash to indicate active MP3 playback.
