3.2 Generating Basic Waveforms
- Select Channel: Use the CH1 or CH2 buttons to select the desired output channel.
- Select Waveform: Press the WAVE button to cycle through available waveform types (Sine, Square, Triangle, etc.).
- Adjust Frequency: Use the navigation buttons to highlight the frequency parameter. Turn the rotary encoder to set the desired frequency. The resolution is 1µHz.
- Adjust Amplitude: Highlight the amplitude parameter and use the rotary encoder to set the peak-to-peak voltage. The pulse amplitude can be continuously adjusted between 0~10V with 0.001V accuracy.
- Adjust Duty Cycle/Phase: For waveforms like square or pulse, adjust the duty cycle. For sine waves, phase can be adjusted.
- Enable Output: Ensure the output for the selected channel (CH1 Output1 or CH2 Output2) is enabled.
3.3 Arbitrary Waveform Editing
The FY6200 supports user-defined arbitrary waveforms. It can store 64 user-defined arbitrary waveforms, each with a length of 8192 points (8K points) and 14-bit vertical resolution.
- Access Arbitrary Waveform Mode: Press the WAVE button until 'Arbitrary Wave' is selected.
- Edit Waveform: Use the system menu or PC software (if available) to define or load arbitrary waveform data. Refer to the detailed software manual for specific instructions on creating and uploading arbitrary waveforms.
- Save/Load: Use the SAVE and LOAD buttons to manage stored arbitrary waveforms.
3.4 Frequency Counter Function
The device includes a frequency counter function.
- Connect Input: Connect the signal to be measured to the OK Counter input port.
- Select Counter Mode: Press the COUNTER button to activate the frequency counter. The screen will display the measured frequency.

- Calibration: For optimal accuracy, periodic calibration by qualified personnel is recommended.
5. Troubleshooting
- No Power:
- Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the device and a working power outlet.
- Verify the power button is pressed.
- No Output Signal:
- Check that the output channel (CH1 or CH2) is enabled on the device.
- Verify BNC cables are correctly connected to the output ports and the receiving instrument.
- Confirm that frequency and amplitude parameters are set to valid values.
- Incorrect Frequency Counter Reading:
- Ensure the input signal is within the specified voltage and frequency range for the counter.
- Check the connection to the OK Counter port.
- Display Issues:
- If the display is frozen or unresponsive, try restarting the device.
