Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your A-iPower GXS7600iRD Dual Fuel Inverter Generator. Please read all instructions carefully before operating the generator to ensure proper use and to prevent injury or damage. Keep this manual for future reference.
Safety Information
WARNING: Carbon Monoxide Hazard. Generators produce carbon monoxide (CO), an odorless, colorless, poisonous gas. Using a generator indoors CAN KILL YOU IN MINUTES. Always use the generator outdoors, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Install battery-operated CO alarms in your home.
Electrical Shock Hazard: Never operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are dry and properly grounded. Do not touch the generator with wet hands.
Fire Hazard: Gasoline and propane are highly flammable. Always refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator or fuel storage area. Store fuel in approved containers.
Hot Surfaces: The generator engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for a period after shutdown. Avoid touching hot surfaces to prevent burns.
Moving Parts: Keep hands, feet, hair, and clothing away from moving parts to prevent injury.

Setup
- Unpacking and Inspection: Carefully remove the generator and all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
- Add Engine Oil: The generator is shipped without engine oil. Place the generator on a level surface. Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick. Using the provided oil funnel, slowly add the recommended amount and type of oil (refer to specifications for details) until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
- Connect Battery: Connect the battery cables to the generator's battery terminals, ensuring correct polarity (red to positive, black to negative).
- Add Fuel (Gasoline): If using gasoline, ensure the generator is off and cool. Open the fuel cap and carefully pour fresh, unleaded gasoline into the fuel tank. Do not overfill. Close the fuel cap securely.
- Connect Propane (LPG): If using propane, connect the provided LPG regulator hose to a propane tank and then to the generator's propane inlet. Ensure all connections are tight. Open the valve on the propane tank.
- Wheel and Handle Assembly: Attach the wheels and telescoping handle as per the quick start guide for easy mobility.
Operating Instructions
- Pre-Start Checklist:
- Check engine oil level.
- Ensure sufficient fuel (gasoline or propane).
- Verify all electrical loads are disconnected from the generator.
- Ensure the generator is on a level, outdoor surface, away from any enclosures.
- Starting the Generator (Gasoline):
- Turn the fuel valve to the 'ON' position.
- Set the choke lever to 'CHOKE' (if engine is cold).
- Press the electric start button or use the remote key fob.
- Once the engine starts, slowly move the choke lever to 'RUN'.
- Starting the Generator (Propane):
- Ensure the propane tank valve is open.
- Set the fuel selector switch to 'PROPANE'.
- Press the electric start button or use the remote key fob.
- Fuel Sense Technology: This generator features Fuel Sense technology, which automatically switches fuel intake between gasoline and propane/LPG to extend runtime. The generator will prioritize the selected fuel source and switch if one runs out.
- Connecting Electrical Loads: Once the generator is running stably, plug in your electrical devices. Do not overload the generator. Monitor the data center display for power output.
- Stopping the Generator:
- Disconnect all electrical loads.
- Turn the engine switch to 'OFF'.
- If using propane, close the valve on the propane tank.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and reliable performance of your generator. Always ensure the generator is off and cool before performing any maintenance.
- Engine Oil: Check oil level before each use. Change oil after the first 20 hours of operation, then every 100 hours or annually.
- Air Filter: Inspect the air filter every 50 hours or monthly. Clean or replace if dirty.
- Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug every 100 hours or annually. Replace if worn.
- Fuel Filter: Inspect and replace the fuel filter as needed, typically annually.
- Storage: For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank and carburetor (if using gasoline) or ensure the propane system is disconnected. Remove the spark plug and pour a small amount of engine oil into the cylinder, then pull the recoil starter a few times to distribute the oil.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Engine will not start | No fuel, low oil, spark plug issue, choke setting | Check fuel level, add oil, inspect/clean spark plug, adjust choke. |
| No power output | Overload, circuit breaker tripped, loose connections | Reduce load, reset circuit breaker, check connections. |
| Engine runs rough | Stale fuel, dirty air filter, spark plug issue | Use fresh fuel, clean air filter, inspect/replace spark plug. |
| CO Sensor light active | High carbon monoxide levels detected | Move generator to a well-ventilated outdoor area immediately. |
