Setup and Assembly

Assembly instructions are provided with the product. Follow these steps carefully.

  3. Attach the main pole to the assembled cross base. Tighten all fasteners.

Operating Instructions

Opening the Parasol

To open the parasol, locate the crank handle on the main pole. Turn the handle clockwise until the canopy is fully extended. Do not force the crank once the canopy is fully open.

Closing the Parasol

To close the parasol, turn the crank handle counter-clockwise until the canopy is fully retracted. Secure any ties or straps to keep the canopy neatly folded.

360° Rotation

The parasol features a 360° rotating base. To rotate, loosen the locking mechanism at the base of the pole, adjust the parasol to the desired position, and then re-tighten the locking mechanism to secure it.

Tilt Function

To tilt the parasol canopy, use the tilt lever or button located on the main pole (refer to the crank mechanism image). Adjust the angle to block the sun as it moves throughout the day. Ensure the tilt mechanism is securely locked after adjustment.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the aluminum frame with a damp cloth. For the Olefin canopy, clean with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before folding.
  • Storage: During winter months or extended periods of non-use, it is recommended to fold the parasol and protect it with a compatible cover. Store in a dry, sheltered location.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and moving parts for tightness and proper function. Lubricate moving parts if necessary.

Troubleshooting

Parasol is unstable:

  • Ensure the base is adequately weighted with paving slabs.
  • Check that all assembly fasteners are securely tightened.
  • Fold the parasol in windy conditions.

Canopy does not open/close smoothly:

  • Check for any obstructions in the mechanism or canopy fabric.
  • Ensure the crank handle is not jammed.
  • Lubricate moving parts if resistance is felt.
