3. Re-align the chaise lounge with the main sofa section and securely re-engage the connectors.

5.3. Accessing the Storage Compartment

An integrated storage compartment is located within the chaise lounge section:

1. Lift the seat cushion of the chaise lounge section.
2. The storage area is located directly underneath.
3. Close the compartment by lowering the seat cushion until it is flush with the sofa.

6. Maintenance and Care

6.1. Fabric Care (100% Polyester)

The sofa is upholstered in 100% polyester fabric. For general cleaning and spot treatment:

• Regular Cleaning: Vacuum the sofa regularly using an upholstery attachment to remove dust and loose debris.
• Spot Cleaning: For spills or stains, immediately blot the area with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a damp cloth with a mild soap solution. Gently rub the stained area, then blot dry with a clean cloth. Avoid excessive rubbing or saturating the fabric.
• Removable Covers: The seat cushions have removable covers. Refer to the care label on the covers for specific washing instructions. Typically, machine washing on a gentle cycle with cold water is recommended, followed by air drying.
• Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh detergents, bleach, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the fabric.

6.2. Frame and Legs Care

• Wipe metal legs with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Periodically check all bolts and screws and tighten them if necessary to maintain stability.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Calife sofa, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

• Squeaking Noises: Squeaking can often be resolved by tightening all assembly bolts and screws. Ensure the sofa is on a level surface.
• Difficulty Converting to Bed: Check for any obstructions around the mechanism. Ensure cushions are fully removed. If the mechanism feels stiff, gently operate it a few times to loosen it. Do not force the mechanism.
• Chaise Not Connecting Properly: Ensure the connectors are correctly aligned and fully engaged. Check for any debris preventing a secure connection.
• Cushions Flattening: Rotate and fluff cushions regularly to maintain their shape and even out wear.
