1. Introduction

The Alpicool NL15 is a versatile 16-quart portable refrigerator/freezer designed for various applications, including car, RV, truck, camper, SUV, and camping use. It offers efficient cooling and can operate on both DC (12V/24V) and AC (110-240V) power sources.

2. Safety Instructions

To ensure safe operation and prevent damage, please observe the following safety precautions:

  • Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as this may cause deformation.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the unit, especially near the compressor side, to prevent overheating.
  • Use only the provided power cords and adapters.
  • Keep the unit away from heat sources and flammable materials.
  • Do not immerse the unit in water or expose it to heavy rain.
  • Always disconnect power before cleaning or performing maintenance.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Placement

Place the refrigerator on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper ventilation, especially around the compressor vents. The unit is designed to be anti-shake and can be secured using tie-down slots for travel.

4.2 Power Connection

The Alpicool NL15 supports dual power input:

  • DC 12V/24V: Use the provided car cigarette lighter power cord for vehicle use.
  • AC 110V-240V: Use the provided AC adapter and power cord for home or standard outlet use.

Connect the appropriate power cord to the unit's power input port. Ensure the connection is secure.

4.3 Battery Protection Function

The unit is equipped with an over-discharge protection function to prevent draining your vehicle's battery. This feature automatically adjusts power consumption to safeguard your battery.

5. Operation

5.1 Control Panel Overview

The control panel is located on the top of the unit and features an LED display and control buttons:

  • Power Button: Press to turn the unit ON/OFF.
  • Temperature Up Button (): Increases the target temperature.
  • Temperature Down Button (): Decreases the target temperature.
  • Set Button (Gear Icon): Enters temperature setting mode or cycles through modes (if applicable).

5.2 Setting Temperature

To set the desired temperature, press the or buttons. The display will show the set temperature. The unit will automatically cool or heat to maintain this temperature. The adjustable temperature range is from -4°F (-20°C) to 68°F (20°C).

The unit can rapidly cool from 77°F (25°C) to 32°F (0°C) in approximately 15 minutes, and to -4°F (-20°C) within an hour, demonstrating its efficient cooling capabilities.

5.3 Cooling Modes (Fridge vs. Freezer)

The Alpicool NL15 functions as both a refrigerator and a freezer, depending on the set temperature. For refrigeration, set the temperature between 32°F (0°C) and 68°F (20°C). For freezing, set the temperature between -4°F (-20°C) and 32°F (0°C).

5.4 Quiet Operation

The unit is designed for quiet operation, with noise levels typically around 45dB, comparable to a whispering sound. This ensures minimal disturbance during use, even in quiet environments.

5.5 Capacity

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning
