3. Product Overview

The LEXIN G1 unit features large, easy-to-operate buttons designed for use with gloves. Familiarize yourself with the button layout and their functions:

  • Power Button: Used for powering the device on/off and other primary functions.
  • Voice Command Button: Activates your smartphone's voice assistant (Siri, Google Assistant).
  • Volume + / Next Track Button: Increases volume or skips to the next music track.
  • Volume - / Previous Track Button: Decreases volume or goes to the previous music track.

4. Setup

4.1. Mounting the G1 Unit

The G1 unit can be mounted to your helmet using either the clamp bracket or the 3M adhesive tape bracket.

  1. Choose the appropriate mounting location on the left side of your helmet.
  2. For Clamp Bracket: Loosen the screws on the clamp, slide it between the helmet shell and inner padding, and tighten the screws securely.
  3. For Adhesive Bracket: Clean the helmet surface thoroughly. Peel off the protective film from the 3M adhesive, firmly press the bracket onto the helmet, and hold for 30 seconds. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to cure before use.
  4. Slide the G1 unit onto the mounted bracket until it clicks into place.

4.2. Installing Speakers and Microphone

Install the speakers and microphone inside your helmet for optimal audio and communication.

  1. Attach the speakers to the inside of the helmet using the provided Velcro pads, ensuring they are positioned directly over your ears.
  2. Connect the speaker cable to the G1 unit.
  3. Choose either the boom microphone (for open-face helmets) or the soft wire microphone (for full-face helmets).
  4. Position the microphone close to your mouth, ensuring it is not obstructed by padding or the helmet visor. Connect the microphone cable to the G1 unit.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power Button for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light turns on and you hear a voice prompt.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power Button for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off and you hear a voice prompt.

5.2. Bluetooth Pairing

The G1 uses Bluetooth 5.0 for stable connections. It supports simultaneous connection to two Bluetooth devices (e.g., smartphone and GPS).

  1. With the G1 powered off, press and hold the Power Button for about 5-7 seconds until the indicator light flashes red and blue alternately, indicating pairing mode.
  2. On your smartphone or GPS device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "LEXIN G1" from the list of devices. Once connected, the indicator light will flash blue slowly.
  4. The G1 will automatically reconnect to the last paired device when powered on, if the device is within range.

5.3. Phone Calls

  • Answer Call: Press the Power Button once.
  • End Call: Press the Power Button once during a call.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds when a call comes in.
  • Redial Last Number: Double-press the Power Button.

5.4. Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Press the Power Button once.
  • Next Track: Press the Volume + / Next Track Button once.
  • Previous Track: Press the Volume - / Previous Track Button once.
  • Volume Up: Press and hold the Volume + / Next Track Button.
  • Volume Down: Press and hold the Volume - / Previous Track Button.
