The dashcam features a front-facing lens for recording the road and an interior-facing lens (not visible in this specific image) for cabin surveillance. The textured surface provides grip, and the top bracket is for secure mounting.

Setup

  1. Insert MicroSD Card: The 16GB MicroSD card is factory-installed. If replacing, ensure the dashcam is powered off. Insert the new MicroSD card into the designated slot until it clicks into place. Use a Class 10 or higher MicroSD card (up to 128GB recommended).
  2. Mounting the Dashcam:
    • Clean the desired area on your windshield thoroughly.
    • Attach the windshield mount to the dashcam.
    • Securely attach the mount with the dashcam to the windshield, ensuring a clear view for both lenses. Adjust the camera angle as needed.
  3. Power Connection:
    • Connect the 12/24V Power Adapter to the dashcam's power input port.
    • Plug the other end of the power adapter into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket or auxiliary power outlet.
    • Route the power cable safely to avoid obstructing your view or interfering with vehicle controls.
  4. Initial Power On: Once connected, the dashcam should power on automatically when the vehicle's ignition is turned on and begin recording.

Operating Instructions

Automatic Recording

The dashcam is designed to start recording automatically when power is supplied (e.g., when the vehicle's ignition is turned on). Recording will typically stop when the power is cut (e.g., ignition off).

Loop Recording

The dashcam records video in continuous loops. When the MicroSD card is full, the oldest unlocked video files will be overwritten by new recordings. This ensures continuous operation without manual intervention.

Manual Recording (if applicable)

Refer to the on-screen menu or physical buttons on the device for options to manually start/stop recording or lock current video segments. Specific button functions may vary; consult the device's display for indicators.

App Control (YADA Drive App)

The Yada ROADCAM DUAL Dashcam features Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to manage recordings and settings via the YADA Drive app on your mobile device.

  1. Download the App: Search for "YADA Drive" in your mobile device's app store (iOS or Android) and install it.
  2. Connect to Dashcam Wi-Fi:
    • Power on the dashcam.
    • On your mobile device, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the dashcam's Wi-Fi network. The network name (SSID) and password should be displayed on the dashcam's screen or indicated in a sticker on the device.
  3. Access Recordings: Open the YADA Drive app. You can now view live footage, browse recorded videos, download files to your phone, and adjust dashcam settings.

Smart G-Sensor Functionality

The integrated Smart G-Sensor detects sudden movements or impacts, such as those from a collision. When triggered, the sensor automatically locks the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. These locked files are stored in a separate folder on the MicroSD card to ensure critical evidence is preserved.

Continuous Recording

The Yada ROADCAM DUAL Dashcam provides continuous recording, ensuring that footage is captured around the clock when the vehicle is in operation. This feature is particularly beneficial for monitoring vehicle activity and preserving evidence over extended periods.

Maintenance

  • Clean Lenses: Regularly clean the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality. Avoid abrasive materials.
  • MicroSD Card Management: Periodically format the MicroSD card (at least once a month) using the dashcam's menu settings to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up important files before formatting.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the Yada website or YADA Drive app for any available firmware updates to ensure your dashcam has the latest features and bug fixes.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the dashcam in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
