4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Initial System Power-Up

  1. Connect NVR: Plug the NVR monitor into a power outlet using the provided power adapter.
  2. Power On Cameras: Ensure the solar cameras are charged or have sufficient battery. They are pre-paired with the NVR.
  3. View Live Feed: Once powered, the cameras will automatically connect to the NVR, and their live feed will display on the 10-inch monitor.

4.2 Camera Mounting

The cameras are designed for outdoor use and can be mounted in various locations. Choose a spot with good sunlight exposure for optimal solar charging.

  1. Select Location: Identify a suitable mounting location that provides the desired viewing angle and receives adequate sunlight.
  2. Install Mounting Base: Secure the mounting base to the wall or surface using screws.
  3. Attach Camera: Mount the camera onto the base and adjust its angle for optimal coverage.

4.3 App Installation and Remote Access

To access your system remotely, connect the NVR to your home's 2.4G WiFi network or via an Ethernet cable, then install the "CloudEye 365" application on your smartphone or tablet.

  1. Connect NVR to Network: Use the NVR's settings to connect to your 2.4G WiFi network or plug in an Ethernet cable.
  2. Download App: Search for "CloudEye 365" on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and install it.
  3. Register/Login: Follow the in-app instructions to create an account or log in.
  4. Add Device: Add your NVR system to the app by scanning the QR code displayed on the NVR monitor or entering its device ID.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Live View and Recording

The NVR monitor displays live feeds from all connected cameras. You can switch between single-camera view and multi-camera grid view.

  • Recording Modes: The system supports motion-activated recording and continuous 24/7 recording. Motion recording conserves storage space and battery life for solar cameras.
  • Playback: Use the NVR interface or the mobile app to review recorded footage stored on the 500GB HDD.

5.2 Smart Detection and Alerts

The cameras are equipped with PIR sensors to detect human motion and minimize false alarms.

  • Instant Alerts: Receive real-time notifications on your mobile device via the CloudEye 365 app when motion is detected.
  • Customizable Alarm Zones: Define specific areas within the camera's view to trigger alerts, reducing notifications from irrelevant areas.

5.3 Two-Way Audio

Utilize the built-in microphone and speaker on each camera to communicate with individuals near the camera.

  • Speak and Listen: Through the mobile app, you can speak to visitors, delivery personnel, or deter intruders.

5.4 Night Vision and Zoom

The cameras provide clear surveillance even in low-light conditions.

  • Color Night Vision: Integrated spotlights enable full-color video recording at night.
  • Digital Zoom: The 4MP resolution allows for 5x digital zoom to view finer details in recorded or live footage.

5.5 Privacy Protection

Configure privacy zones to exclude specific areas from recording, ensuring personal privacy.

  • Privacy Zones: Use the NVR or app settings to black out areas in the camera's view that you do not wish to record.

5.6 Voice Assistant Compatibility

6. Maintenance

6.1 Solar Panel and Battery Care

To ensure continuous operation, maintain the solar panels and monitor battery levels.

  • Clean Solar Panels: Regularly clean the solar panels to remove dust, dirt, or debris that may hinder charging efficiency.
  • Optimal Placement: Ensure cameras are placed in locations that receive at least 3 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal charging.
  • Battery Monitoring: Check battery status via the NVR or mobile app. If necessary, use the Type-C charge cable to manually charge the camera.

6.2 Storage Management

The NVR comes with a 500GB HDD for local storage. Additional storage options are available.

  • HDD Management: The system automatically manages the 500GB HDD, typically overwriting the oldest footage when full.
  • Cloud Storage: Optional paid cloud storage is available for off-site backup of video recordings. All cloud recordings are encrypted.
  • TF Card: The system also supports TF card storage as an additional local backup option.

6.3 Weather Resistance

7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Camcamp security system.
