Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when operating electrical equipment. Adhere to the following guidelines:
- Ensure the charger is used in a well-ventilated area.
- Do not expose the charger to rain or excessive moisture.
- Verify that the battery voltage matches the charger's output (24V).
- Connect the charger to the battery before plugging it into the AC power outlet.
- Disconnect the AC power before disconnecting the battery.
- Avoid short-circuiting the output terminals.
- Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
- The charger will automatically shut down for protection if the ambient temperature exceeds 65°C (149°F). The operating temperature range is 0°C to +45°C (32°F to 113°F).
Product Features
The CMTOOL 24V 20A Smart Trickle Charger is equipped with several features to ensure efficient and safe battery charging:
20A 600W Charging & Fan Design & Overheating Protection
This fully automatic smart charger is suitable for all vehicles equipped with 24V lead-acid batteries, such as forklifts, floor washers, sightseeing cars, and golf carts. The fan always runs during charging to effectively cool the charger and ensure stable operation. The operating temperature range of the 24 volt battery charger is 0℃~+45℃. When the ambient temperature exceeds 65℃, the charger will automatically shut down for protection.

Voltage and Current Display & Charging Completion Prompt
The 24 volt charger adopts constant voltage and constant current mode for intelligent charging. The display shows "2420" to indicate that this is a 24V20A charger. When charging, the display will alternately show the charging voltage and current (the last letter "U" means "Voltage" and "R" means "Current"). After the battery is fully charged, the forklift battery charger will automatically stop output and the display will show "FULL".

Fault Code Prompt and Fan Stops Working
When the 24v charger has the following six conditions, the corresponding fault code will be displayed on the screen, the fan will stop rotating, and the charger will stop working: (1) No-load state; (2) When the connected battery pack voltage is lower than the pre-charge voltage limit; (3) When the voltage of the connected battery pack is higher than the trickle charging voltage; (4) The temperature exceeds 65°C; (5) Short circuit; (6) Reverse polarity.
Output Protection Device & Charging Time Control
During the charging process, the 24v battery charger will automatically adjust the output voltage and current. When the battery is reverse-connected and the output is short-circuited, the internal circuit of the 24v charger is disconnected from the battery and will not damage the charger. The 24 volt charger is set with a maximum charging time (15 hours), which can effectively avoid battery damage caused by overcharging.

Troubleshooting
The charger's display provides fault codes to help diagnose issues. If the charger stops working and the fan stops rotating, check for the following conditions:
| Fault Condition | Description |
|---|---|
| No-load state | The charger is powered on but not connected to a battery, or the connection is not detected. |
| Battery voltage too low | Connected battery pack voltage is lower than the pre-charge voltage limit. |
| Battery voltage too high | Connected battery pack voltage is higher than the trickle charging voltage. |
| Over temperature | The internal temperature of the charger exceeds 65°C (149°F). Allow the charger to cool down. |
| Short circuit | A short circuit is detected at the output terminals. Disconnect and check connections. |
| Reverse polarity | The battery is connected with incorrect polarity (+/- reversed). Correct the connection. |
If the issue persists after checking these conditions, please contact CMTOOL customer support for assistance.
