Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your SONGMICS Office Chair.
- Attach Casters to Base: Insert the five casters (F) into the holes at the end of each leg of the star base (E). Push firmly until they click into place.
- Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder (D) into the center hole of the star base (E).
- Attach Mechanism Plate to Seat: Align the mechanism plate (G) with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion (B). Ensure the front of the mechanism faces the front of the seat. Secure with screws (H) using the provided tool.
- Attach Armrests to Seat: Attach the armrests (C) to the sides of the seat cushion (B) using screws (H). Ensure the foldable mechanism is oriented correctly.
- Attach Backrest to Seat/Armrests: Connect the backrest assembly (A) to the seat cushion (B) and armrests (C) using screws (H). Ensure a secure fit.
- Connect Seat Assembly to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder (D) that is already in the star base. Press down firmly to secure the connection.

Operating Instructions
Height Adjustment
To adjust the seat height, pull the lever located under the right side of the seat upwards. While holding the lever, stand up to raise the seat or remain seated to lower it. Release the lever at the desired height to lock it in place.
Oscillating Function (Tilt)
To activate the oscillating (rocking) function, pull the same lever (under the right side of the seat) outwards. The chair will now allow for a gentle rocking motion between 90° and 105°. To lock the chair in an upright position, push the lever inwards.
Lumbar Support Adjustment
The padded lumbar support can be adjusted vertically. Gently push or pull the lumbar support pad up or down on the backrest to find your most comfortable position.
Folding Armrests
The armrests can be folded upwards to allow the chair to be slid further under a desk or to save space. Simply lift the armrests firmly upwards until they lock into the vertical position. To return them to the horizontal position, pull them down.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: For general cleaning, wipe the chair with a soft, damp cloth. For fabric parts, use a mild fabric cleaner if necessary, and blot dry. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
