Setup
1. Attaching the Battery
Ensure the battery is fully charged before attaching it to the tool. This impact wrench is compatible with DeWalt 20V batteries (e.g., DCB200, DCB201, DCB202, DCB203, DCB204, DCB205, DCB206). For optimal performance, a 4Ah or higher battery is recommended.
- Align the battery pack with the battery port on the base of the impact wrench handle.
- Slide the battery pack into the tool until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove the battery, press the release button on the battery pack and slide it out.

2. Attaching/Removing Sockets
This impact wrench features a 1/2 inch hog ring anvil for quick socket changes.
- To attach a socket, simply push the 1/2 inch square drive socket onto the anvil until it snaps into place.
- To remove a socket, firmly pull the socket off the anvil.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off and Variable Speed Control
The tool is activated by pressing the trigger switch. The speed of the tool is controlled by the amount of pressure applied to the trigger. Pressing the trigger further increases the speed.

2. Forward/Reverse Rotation
The forward/reverse button (typically located above the trigger) controls the direction of rotation. Push the button to the left for forward rotation (tightening) and to the right for reverse rotation (loosening).

3. Speed and Torque Settings (4 Modes)
The impact wrench features multiple speed settings to match the application. Use the speed control button (often located near the battery indicator) to cycle through the available modes.
- Forward Modes (1, 2, 3): These modes offer increasing RPM and tightening torque.
- Mode 1: 0-1200 RPM, 0-500 ft-lbs torque
- Mode 2: 0-1600 RPM, 0-700 ft-lbs torque
- Mode 3: 0-2000 RPM, 0-900 ft-lbs torque
- Reverse Mode (Auto-Stop): This mode is designed for loosening. It provides 0-2100 RPM and up to 1000 ft-lbs (1360 N.m) loosening torque. The auto-stop feature prevents over-loosening by stopping rotation once the fastener is free, helping to prevent nuts from falling off.

4. LED Work Light
The integrated LED light automatically illuminates when the trigger is pressed, providing optimal visibility in dimly lit work environments.
