2. Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before installation and use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage, injury, or death.

  • This device is designed for indoor use only.
  • Do not paint the detector. Paint may clog the openings and interfere with proper operation.
  • Do not install in areas with high humidity, excessive dust, or grease.
  • Avoid installing near ventilation openings, doors, windows, or areas with strong air currents, as this may affect sensor accuracy.
  • Test the detector regularly as described in the "Operating" section.
  • In case of an alarm, evacuate the premises immediately and contact emergency services.
  • This device is not a substitute for proper maintenance of fuel-burning appliances.

3. Product Overview

The detector features a clear 2.1-inch HD color screen display and three control buttons for easy operation.

Display Elements:

  • CO PPM: Displays the concentration of carbon monoxide in parts per million.
  • GAS: Bar indicators for combustible gas levels (green, yellow, orange, red).
  • Temperature: Shows the ambient temperature.
  • Humidity: Displays the relative humidity.
  • Icons: Indicators for sound, flame (gas), sun (brightness), and green leaf (normal operation).

5. Operating

Once plugged in, the detector will initiate a self-test and begin monitoring. The display will show real-time CO levels, gas levels, temperature, and humidity.

Button Functions:

  • "H" Button (Left): Short click to adjust screen light level (brightness).
  • "O" Button (Middle): Short click for device testing (alarm sound and display check). Long click to switch temperature units between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
  • "D" Button (Right): Short click to turn the alarm sound on or off.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your detector.

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the exterior of the detector with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents, solvents, or polishes, as these can damage the unit or interfere with sensor operation.
  • Dust Removal: Periodically vacuum or brush the air vents to prevent dust buildup, which can obstruct gas entry to the sensors.
  • Testing: Perform a device test monthly using the "O" button to ensure the alarm and display are functioning correctly.
  • Sensor Lifespan: Gas sensors have a limited lifespan. While this product is designed for long-term use, consider replacing the unit after 5-7 years for optimal safety, or if it frequently reports malfunctions.

7. Troubleshooting

If your detector is not operating as expected, refer to the following common issues and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Frequent false alarms (no apparent gas leak)
  • Presence of strong odors (e.g., cleaning products, paint fumes, aerosols, alcohol-based products, nail polish remover).
  • High humidity or steam (e.g., from showering, cooking).
  • Dust or debris in sensor vents.
  • Sensor sensitivity to trace elements.
  • Ventilate the area.
  • Relocate the detector away from sources of strong odors or steam.
  • Clean the detector's vents as per maintenance instructions.
  • If false alarms persist after ventilation and cleaning, contact customer support.
No display or power
  • Not properly plugged in.
  • Power outage.
  • Faulty outlet.
  • Ensure the detector is securely plugged into a live outlet.
  • Check your home's circuit breaker.
  • Try plugging into a different outlet.
Alarm sounds continuously (and there is a suspected gas leak)
  • Presence of carbon monoxide or combustible gas.
  • Immediately evacuate all occupants.
  • Call your gas supplier or fire department from a safe location.
  • Do not re-enter the premises until cleared by emergency services.
Red indicator light on (not alarming)
  • Mute error or sensor malfunction.
  • Perform a device test by short-clicking the "O" button.
  • If the issue persists, the sensor may be malfunctioning or at the end of its lifespan. Consider replacing the unit.
