- Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the system and then into a standard electrical outlet.
4. Operation Guide
Understand how to operate your hydroponics system for optimal plant growth.
4.1 Light Modes and Cycle
The system features an LED grow light with different modes to support various plant types. The light operates on an automatic cycle of 16 hours on and 8 hours off.
- Vegetables Mode: Emits blue light, red light, far-red light, and white light. Suitable for leafy greens and herbs.
- Flower/Fruit Mode: Emits red light, far-red light, and white light. Suitable for flowering plants and fruiting vegetables.

4.2 Water and Nutrient Management
- Water Level: Monitor the water level gauge regularly. Refill water when it drops below the minimum indicator.
- Nutrient Replenishment: Add nutrients according to the plant's growth stage and the nutrient solution instructions. Typically, nutrients are added during water refills or full water changes.
- Water Pump: The integrated water pump cycles automatically every 30 minutes to ensure proper water circulation and oxygenation for roots.

4.3 Adjusting Grow Light Height
As plants grow, adjust the height of the LED grow light to maintain an optimal distance from the plant canopy. The lamp post is adjustable up to 13.8 inches.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your hydroponics system.
5.1 Water Changes and Cleaning
- Full Water Change: It is recommended to perform a full water change every 2-3 weeks. Drain the old nutrient solution and refill with fresh water and new nutrients.
- Tank Cleaning: Periodically clean the water tank to prevent algae growth and mineral buildup. Disconnect power, remove plants, and clean with a soft brush and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly before refilling.
- Pump Cleaning: Inspect and clean the water pump regularly to ensure it operates efficiently. Remove any debris or mineral deposits.
5.2 Plant Care
- Pruning: Prune your plants as needed to encourage bushier growth and prevent overcrowding.
- Harvesting: Harvest mature leaves or fruits regularly to promote continuous production.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your hydroponics system.
| Issue | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Plants not growing or slow growth | Incorrect nutrient levels, insufficient light, improper water pH, old seeds. | Check nutrient concentration, ensure light is on correct mode and height, test water pH, use fresh seeds. |
| Algae growth in water tank | Excessive light exposure to water, high water temperature. | Ensure grow baskets are covered, clean tank thoroughly, consider placing system in a cooler area. |
| Water pump not working | Power disconnected, pump clogged with debris. | Check power connection, clean the pump impeller and housing. |
| Leaves turning yellow | Nutrient deficiency, overwatering (lack of oxygen to roots), incorrect pH. | Adjust nutrient solution, ensure pump is circulating water, check pH. |
