5. Setup and Connection
5.1 Charging the Speaker
Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the DC 5V port on the speaker and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator light will show charging status and turn off when fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours.
5.2 Powering On/Off
Press and hold the O/M button on the side of the speaker for a few seconds to power it on or off. A voice prompt will indicate the power status.
5.3 Bluetooth Pairing
- Power on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing blue LED light and a voice prompt.
- Enable Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop).
- Search for "SoundAngel A8" in the list of available Bluetooth devices.
- Select "SoundAngel A8" to connect. Once successfully paired, the LED light will turn solid blue, and you will hear a confirmation sound.
- The speaker will automatically reconnect to the last paired device when powered on, if the device's Bluetooth is active and within range.
5.4 AUX Input Mode
To use the speaker with a non-Bluetooth device, connect one end of the provided 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX input port on the speaker and the other end to the audio output jack of your device. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.
5.5 Micro SD/TF Card Mode
Insert a Micro SD/TF card (with pre-loaded MP3 audio files) into the TF card slot. The speaker will automatically detect the card and begin playing music from it. Press the O/M button to switch between modes if needed.
6. Operation
6.1 Music Playback
- Play/Pause: Tap the center button on the touch panel.
- Volume Up: Tap the '+' symbol on the touch panel.
- Volume Down: Tap the '-' symbol on the touch panel.
- Next Track: Tap the '>>|' symbol on the touch panel.
- Previous Track: Tap the '|<<' symbol on the touch panel.
6.2 Hands-Free Calling
- Answer Call: When a call comes in, tap the center Play/Pause button to answer.
- End Call: During a call, tap the center Play/Pause button to end the call.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the center Play/Pause button for 2 seconds to reject an incoming call.
- Redial Last Number: Double-tap the center Play/Pause button to redial the last number called.
7. Maintenance and Care
- Keep the speaker away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and moisture.
- Do not expose the speaker to water or other liquids as it is not waterproof.
- Clean the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the speaker to strong impacts.
- Store the speaker in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
