Setup Guide
1. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge your Tempo 30 earbuds and charging case. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the charging port on the case and plug the other end into a USB power source. The indicator lights on the case will show charging status. A full charge provides up to 32 hours of combined playtime (8 hours in earbuds + 24 hours from case).
2. Selecting Ear Tips
The Tempo 30 earbuds come with 6 different sizes of silicone ear tips to ensure a comfortable and secure fit, especially for small ear canals. Experiment with different sizes to find the best seal for optimal sound quality and noise isolation. A proper seal is crucial for experiencing the full bass response and sound clarity.
- Gently insert the earbud into your ear canal.
- Twist slightly to ensure a snug fit.
- If the earbud feels loose or sound quality is poor, try a larger ear tip. If it feels uncomfortable, try a smaller one.
3. Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the charging case is charged and open the lid. The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth.
- Search for "Back Bay Tempo 30" in the list of available Bluetooth devices.

Maintenance and Care
Cleaning Your Earbuds
Regular cleaning helps maintain sound quality and hygiene. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the earbuds and charging case. For ear tips, remove them from the earbuds and clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then rinse and dry thoroughly before reattaching.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure charging contacts on both earbuds and case are clean and dry.
Water Resistance (IPX7)
The Tempo 30 earbuds are IPX7 water-resistant, meaning they can withstand submersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. This makes them ideal for workouts and protection against sweat and rain. NOTE: They are not designed for swimming or prolonged submersion. Always ensure the earbuds are dry before placing them back into the charging case to prevent damage.
