3. Setup and First Use
3.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection
- Carefully remove the air fryer and all accessories from the packaging.
- Check for any signs of damage. If the appliance is damaged, do not use it and contact customer support.
- Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels.
3.2 Placement Considerations
Place the air fryer on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the appliance for proper ventilation, especially at the rear air outlet.

3.3 Initial Cleaning
Before first use, clean the basket and grid with warm water, a mild dishwashing liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge. Wipe the interior and exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are completely dry before use.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Control Panel Overview
The air fryer is equipped with a digital touch screen for easy operation. The display shows temperature, time, and various cooking icons for pre-set programs.

4.2 Basic Operation
- Prepare Food: Place the food you wish to cook into the air fryer basket. Do not overfill the basket to ensure even cooking.
- Insert Basket: Slide the basket back into the air fryer until it clicks into place.
- Power On: Plug the appliance into a grounded wall outlet. The display will light up.
- Set Temperature and Time:
- Use the temperature control buttons (up/down arrows) to set the desired cooking temperature (60°C - 200°C).
- Use the timer control buttons (up/down arrows) to set the desired cooking time (up to 60 minutes).
- Start Cooking: Press the Start/Pause button to begin the cooking process. The interior light will illuminate, and you can monitor the food through the viewing window.
- Shake Basket (Optional): For some foods, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time can ensure more even results. Carefully pull out the basket, shake it, and reinsert it. The air fryer will resume cooking automatically.
- End of Cooking: The timer will sound when the cooking time is complete, and the appliance will automatically shut off.
- Remove Food: Carefully pull out the basket and empty the cooked food onto a plate. Use heat-resistant tongs.
- Power Off: Unplug the appliance from the wall outlet.
4.3 Using Pre-set Programs
The ARDES ARFRYA08LV features 10 automatic cooking programs for common food items. To use a pre-set program:
- After powering on, press the Menu/Program button to cycle through the available pre-set icons.
- Once you select a program, the air fryer will automatically set the optimal temperature and time.
- Press the Start/Pause button to begin cooking.
Note: Pre-set times and temperatures can be adjusted manually after selection if desired.
4.4 Cooking Guidelines and Tips
- Oil Usage: While the air fryer can cook without oil, a small amount of oil (1 tablespoon) can be added to some foods for a crispier result.
- Even Cooking: For best results, arrange food in a single layer in the basket. For larger quantities, cook in batches.
- Preheating: For some recipes, preheating the air fryer for 3-5 minutes at the desired temperature can improve cooking results.
- Monitoring: Utilize the viewing window and interior light to check on your food without interrupting the cooking cycle.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air fryer.
5.1 Cleaning After Each Use
- Unplug and Cool Down: Always unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Clean Basket and Grid: Remove the basket and grid. Wash them with hot water, a mild dishwashing liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge. The non-stick coating makes cleaning easy. For stubborn residue, soak them in warm soapy water for about 10 minutes.
- Clean Interior: Wipe the interior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the air fryer with a damp cloth.
- Dry Thoroughly: Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing or next use.
Note: The basket and grid are not dishwasher safe. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the non-stick coating.
