1. Introduction

The PreSonus Quantum ES 2 is a high-performance 2x2 USB-C audio interface designed for musicians and audio creators. It features two MAX-HD mic preamps, instrument inputs co-developed with Fender, and comes with a perpetual license for Studio One Pro software. 2. Setup

2.1 Unboxing and Package Contents

Before proceeding, ensure all components are present in the package:

Follow these steps to connect your Quantum ES 2:

  1. Connect to Computer: Use the provided USB-C cable to connect the Quantum ES 2 to an available USB-C port on your computer. The device is bus-powered, but an optional Aux Power Port is available for older computer models that may require additional power.
  2. Connect Microphones/Instruments:
    • For microphones, use XLR cables to connect to the Mic/Line In combo jacks on the rear panel.
    • For guitars or basses, use 1/4-inch TS cables to connect to the Guitar/Bass Inputs on the front panel.
  3. Connect Monitors: Connect your studio monitors to the Main Outs (balanced 1/4-inch TRS) on the rear panel using appropriate cables.
  4. Connect Headphones: Plug your headphones into the Stereo Headphone Out on the front panel.
