Charging the Jump Starter
Before first use, fully charge the Powkey Jump Starter. It is recommended to recharge the unit every 3-6 months to maintain battery health, even if not in use.
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the USB-C input port on the jump starter.
- Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a USB wall charger (not included) or a powered USB port.
- The battery indicator lights will illuminate and flash during charging. All four lights will be solid when fully charged.

Operating Instructions: Jump Starting a Vehicle
Ensure the jump starter is at least 50% charged before attempting to jump start a vehicle.
- Prepare the Vehicle: Turn off the vehicle's ignition and all accessories (headlights, radio, air conditioning). Engage the parking brake.
- Connect Smart Clamps: Insert the blue plug of the smart jumper cables firmly into the jump start port on the Powkey unit. Ensure a secure connection.
- Connect to Battery:
- Connect the RED positive (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
- Connect the BLACK negative (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
Note: If the smart clamp indicator light is green, the connection is correct and safe to proceed. If it's red or flashing, check connections and battery voltage.
- Start the Vehicle: Once the smart clamp indicator is green, start the vehicle's engine. Do not crank for more than 3 seconds. If the vehicle does not start, wait at least 30 seconds before attempting again. Do not attempt more than 3 consecutive starts.
- Remove Clamps: Once the vehicle starts, immediately remove the black negative (-) clamp from the vehicle battery, then remove the red positive (+) clamp. Finally, disconnect the smart jumper cables from the Powkey unit.

Using as a Power Bank
The Powkey Jump Starter can also be used to charge various electronic devices via its USB ports or power 12V accessories via its DC output.
USB Charging:
- Connect your device's USB charging cable to either the USB Output 1 (5V/2.1A) or USB Output 2 (QC3.0) port on the jump starter.
- Press the power button on the jump starter to begin charging. The battery indicator lights will show the remaining charge.
DC Output (12V-16V/6A):
- Connect the provided cigarette lighter adapter to the DC output port on the jump starter.
- Plug your 12V car accessory (e.g., car vacuum, tire inflator) into the cigarette lighter adapter.
- Press the power button to activate the DC output.

LED Flashlight Function
The built-in LED flashlight offers three modes for various situations.
- Turn On/Off: Press and hold the power button for approximately 3 seconds to turn the LED flashlight on or off.
- Switch Modes: Once the flashlight is on, short press the power button to cycle through the modes:
- Illumination: Standard steady light for general use.
- Strobe: Flashing light for signaling or attracting attention.
- SOS: Morse code signal (three short, three long, three short) for emergency situations.

Maintenance and Storage
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Charging: Recharge the unit every 3-6 months to prolong battery life, even if not in use.
- Storage: Store the jump starter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Use the provided EVA storage case for protection.
- Temperature: Avoid storing or operating the unit outside its recommended temperature range (-20°C to 65°C).
Troubleshooting

If the jump starter is unresponsive, locate the "RST" (Reset) button (usually a small pinhole) and press it with a thin object like a paperclip or toothpick to reset the device.
