Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and safety of your automatic chicken coop door. Follow these steps carefully.

1. Mounting the Door Unit:

  1. Choose a flat, vertical surface on your chicken coop for mounting. Ensure there is enough space above the door for it to fully open.
  2. Mark the drilling points using the door unit as a template.
  3. Drill pilot holes at the marked points.
  4. Secure the door unit to the coop using the provided self-tapping screws.

2. Installing the Infrared Sensor:

2. Setting Time-Based Operation:

  1. Press the SET button to enter time setting mode. The display will flash.
  2. Use the + and - buttons to adjust the desired opening time. Press SET to confirm.
  3. Repeat the process to set the desired closing time. Press SET to confirm.
  4. The door will now open and close at the programmed times daily.

3. Setting Light Sensor Operation:

  1. Press the SET button until the display shows "L" (Light mode).
  2. Use the + and - buttons to adjust the light sensitivity level (1-9, where 9 is most sensitive). Press SET to confirm.
  3. The door will open at dawn and close at dusk based on the set sensitivity.

4. Remote Control Operation:

  1. To pair a remote, press the LEARN button on the control unit. The Receiving LED will flash.
  2. Press any button on the remote control. The LED will stop flashing, indicating successful pairing.
  3. Use the remote to manually open or close the door as needed.
