Operating Your E-Bike
The ENGWE T14 offers versatile riding options:
- Pedal Mode: Ride the bike like a traditional bicycle, using only pedal power.
- Pedal Assist Mode: The motor provides assistance as you pedal. This mode is ideal for extending range and reducing effort on longer rides or inclines.
- Fully Electric Mode: Use the throttle to engage the motor for full electric power without pedaling. This mode is suitable for quick bursts of speed or when you prefer not to pedal.
The bike can reach a top speed of 20 MPH and offers a range of up to 22 miles in electric mode or 37.2 miles in pedal assist mode, depending on terrain, rider weight, and riding style.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your e-bike:
- Battery Care: Charge the 48V 10Ah Lithium battery regularly, even when not in use, to maintain its health. Avoid fully discharging the battery. Store in a cool, dry place.
- Tire Pressure: Regularly check and maintain the recommended tire pressure for optimal performance and to prevent punctures. The 14-inch vacuum run-flat tires are designed for durability, but proper inflation is crucial.
- Brakes: Inspect brake pads and discs periodically for wear. Ensure brake levers provide firm and responsive braking. Adjust or replace components as needed.
- Cleaning: Clean your e-bike with a damp cloth. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components.
- General Inspection: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and quick releases for tightness. Lubricate the chain and moving parts as necessary.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ENGWE T14, consider these common solutions:
- Bike Not Powering On: Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly seated in its compartment. Check all electrical connections for looseness.
- Motor Not Assisting: Verify that the pedal assist level is set correctly and that the throttle is engaged if using fully electric mode. Check for any error codes on the display.
- Brakes Squealing/Ineffective: Inspect brake pads for wear or contamination. Clean brake discs with a suitable cleaner. If issues persist, professional adjustment may be required.
- Reduced Range: Ensure tires are properly inflated. Riding uphill frequently, carrying heavy loads, or using full electric mode extensively can reduce range.
For complex issues or repairs, it is recommended to contact ENGWE customer support or a certified e-bike technician.
