1. Important Safety Information

Please read and understand all instructions before assembly and use. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Weight Capacity: The main bed and the trundle bed each have a maximum weight recommendation of 350 lbs (158 kg). Do not exceed this weight capacity. Exceeding the weight limit can cause instability and potential injury.
• Assembly: Ensure all parts are correctly assembled and fasteners are tightened securely before use. Periodically check and re-tighten all bolts.
• Mattress Thickness: For optimal comfort and fit, we recommend a mattress thickness of up to 6 inches for the trundle bed and 6-8 inches for the main bed.
• Children: Supervise children around the daybed and trundle to prevent accidents.
• Placement: Place the daybed on a flat, level surface.

3. Setup and Assembly Instructions

Assembly typically requires two adults. Lay out all parts on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.

1. Attach Headboards to Side Rails: Connect the main bed's headboards to the side rails using the provided bolts and Allen wrench. Do not fully tighten bolts until all connections are made.
2. Install Main Bed Slats: Place the main bed slats into the designated U-shaped grooves on the side rails. Ensure they are evenly spaced and securely seated.

3. Assemble Trundle Bed Frame: Assemble the trundle bed frame according to the separate instructions for the trundle unit. Attach the six universal casters to the bottom of the trundle frame.
4. Install Trundle Bed Slats: Insert the trundle bed slats into its frame, ensuring they are secure.
5. Final Tightening: Once all components are in place, fully tighten all bolts on both the main bed and the trundle bed.
6. Position Trundle: Slide the assembled trundle bed under the main daybed.

4. Operating Instructions

The GAOMON Twin Day Bed with Trundle is designed for versatile use as a sofa or an extra sleeping space.

• Using the Main Daybed: Place a twin-size mattress (6-8 inches thick recommended) on the main bed slats. The daybed can function as a sofa during the day.
• Using the Pull-Out Trundle: To use the trundle bed, gently pull it out from under the main daybed. The universal casters allow for smooth movement. Place a twin-size mattress (up to 6 inches thick recommended) on the trundle slats.

• Storing the Trundle: When not in use, push the trundle bed back under the main daybed. Ensure it is fully retracted to save space.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help prolong the life of your daybed.

• Cleaning: Wipe down the metal frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
• Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain stability and prevent squeaking.
• Casters: Keep the trundle casters free of debris to ensure smooth operation.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues, refer to the following common solutions:

• Squeaking Noises: Squeaking often indicates loose connections. Check and re-tighten all bolts and screws on both the main bed and the trundle frame. Ensure slats are properly seated in their grooves.
• Trundle Not Moving Smoothly: Check the universal casters for any obstructions (e.g., carpet fibers, dust). Clean the casters if necessary. Ensure the floor surface is clear.
• Instability: If the bed feels unstable, verify that all assembly steps have been followed correctly and all fasteners are fully tightened. Do not use the bed if it feels unstable.
