Thank you for choosing the SWAREY Motorcycle Intercom. This device is designed to enhance your riding experience by providing seamless communication, music enjoyment, and navigation assistance. Featuring Bluetooth 5.2 technology, CVC noise cancellation, and IP67 waterproofing, it ensures clear audio and reliable performance in various conditions. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance of your intercom system.

What's in the Box

  • Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset (2 units for 2-Pack)
  • USB Charging Cable

Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the intercom unit. Connect the provided USB cable to the Type-C port on the intercom and to a standard USB power adapter (not included). The LED indicator will show charging status and turn off when fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.

2. Installing the Intercom on Your Helmet

The SWAREY intercom can be installed using either the back clip or the adhesive mount. Choose the method most suitable for your helmet type.

  • Using the Back Clip:

    Slide the back clip onto the edge of your helmet, ensuring it is securely fastened. The clip should be positioned on the left side of the helmet for optimal button access. Once the clip is in place, slide the intercom unit onto the clip until it clicks securely.

  • Using the Adhesive Mount:

    Clean the desired mounting area on your helmet thoroughly. Peel off the protective film from the adhesive mount and firmly press it onto the helmet surface. Hold for 30 seconds to ensure strong adhesion. Once the mount is secure, slide the intercom unit onto the mount until it clicks.

3. Connecting Speakers and Microphone

Carefully route the speaker and microphone wires inside your helmet.

  • Speakers: Position the speakers inside the helmet's ear pockets, ensuring they are aligned with your ears for optimal audio quality. Use the provided Velcro pads if necessary to secure them.
  • Microphone:
    • For full-face helmets, use the soft microphone and position it near your mouth, inside the chin bar.
    • For open-face or modular helmets, use the hard boom microphone and position it directly in front of your mouth.
    Connect the microphone and speaker cable to the appropriate port on the intercom unit.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button (usually the large central button) for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a voice prompt and the LED indicator lights up.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a voice prompt and the LED indicator turns off.

2. Bluetooth Pairing (with Mobile Phone)

To connect your SWAREY intercom to your mobile phone for calls, music, and GPS navigation:

  1. Ensure the intercom is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Power button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red and blue alternately, indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your mobile phone, go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
  4. Select "SWAREY V8" (or similar name) from the list of available devices.
  5. Once connected, the LED indicator will flash blue slowly, and you will hear a voice prompt.

3. Intercom Pairing (Unit-to-Unit)

To establish a two-way intercom connection between two SWAREY units:

  1. Ensure both intercom units are powered off.
  2. On both units, press and hold the Power button for approximately 5-7 seconds until both LED indicators flash red and blue alternately.
  3. Briefly press the Intercom button (often the 'M' or 'Intercom' button) on one of the units. It will search for the other unit.
  4. Once connected, both units' LED indicators will flash blue slowly, and you will hear a voice prompt.
  5. To initiate intercom conversation, briefly press the Intercom button again. To end, press it again.

4. Music Playback and Sharing

  • Play/Pause: Briefly press the Power button.
  • Next Track: Briefly press the Volume Up (+) button.
  • Previous Track: Briefly press the Volume Down (-) button.
  • Music Sharing: If connected to another SWAREY intercom, you can share music. Refer to the specific button combination in the quick start guide for your model, as this feature may vary.

5. FM Radio

  • Turn On/Off FM Radio: Briefly press the FM button.
  • Scan Stations: Press and hold the Volume Up (+) or Volume Down (-) button to scan for the next/previous available station.

6. Voice Assistant

When connected to your mobile phone, you can activate your phone's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant) directly from the intercom.

  • Activate Voice Assistant: Briefly press the Voice Assistant button (often the microphone icon button).

7. Noise Cancellation (CVC)

The SWAREY intercom features advanced CVC (Clear Voice Capture) noise cancellation technology to reduce background noise during calls and intercom conversations, ensuring clear audio even at high speeds. This feature operates automatically.

8. LED Light Modes

The intercom unit features an LED light with four adjustable modes for improved visibility and personalization.

  • Change LED Mode: Refer to your quick start guide for the specific button combination to cycle through red, green, blue, and mixed flash modes.
  • Turn Off LED: There is an option to turn off the LED lights if desired.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the intercom unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Water Resistance: The unit is IP67 waterproof, meaning it is protected against dust and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. However, avoid prolonged submersion or high-pressure water jets. Ensure the USB port cover is securely closed when not charging.
  • Storage: Store the intercom in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery every 3-6 months to maintain its lifespan.
