4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Recording
- The dashcam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts.
- Loop Recording: The dashcam continuously records, overwriting the oldest files when the memory card is full. This ensures you always have the most recent footage.
4.2 Wi-Fi App Control and OTA Updates
The Avylet dashcam features integrated Wi-Fi for seamless control via the Avylet app on your smartphone.
- Download the latest Avylet app from the App Store or Google Play.
- On the dashcam, briefly press the Wi-Fi button (second button from the left) when not in recording mode to activate Wi-Fi.
- Connect your smartphone to the dashcam's Wi-Fi network (e.g., "Avylet_XXXX").
- Open the Avylet app to:
- View live footage.
- Adjust settings.
- Playback recorded videos.
- Download videos and photos to your smartphone.
- Perform Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
Note: If the live preview does not display, ensure you are connected to the dashcam's Wi-Fi and temporarily disable your mobile data.

4.3 G-Sensor (Collision Protection)
The built-in G-sensor automatically detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, it locks the current recording, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This ensures critical event footage is preserved.

4.4 24-Hour Parking Surveillance
To activate 24-hour parking surveillance, a hardwire kit (not included) is required. Once installed, you can choose between two modes:
- Motion Detection: The dashcam automatically records a 30-second video when motion is detected in its field of view while parked.
- Time-Lapse Recording: Records continuously at a low frame rate, condensing long periods into short videos, saving storage space while capturing important events.

4.5 External GPS Module (Optional)
The dashcam supports an optional external GPS module (not included). When connected, it records location (latitude and longitude), route, speed, and time data directly into your video files. This data can be viewed on a PC using the dedicated player software (contact Avylet for the module and player software).

5. Maintenance
5.1 MicroSD Card Management
The loop recording feature automatically manages storage by overwriting the oldest files. However, it is recommended to periodically format the MicroSD card (e.g., once a month) within the dashcam settings to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
5.2 Cleaning
Gently wipe the dashcam lens and screen with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the device.
5.3 Firmware Updates
Regularly check for and install firmware updates via the Avylet app. Updates can improve performance, add new features, and resolve potential issues.
6. Troubleshooting
- Live preview not displaying in app: Ensure your smartphone is connected to the dashcam's Wi-Fi network. Temporarily disable your mobile data connection and try again.
- Adhesive mount is deformed or not sticking: Contact Avylet customer support for a replacement mount.
- Parking mode is not working: A hardwire kit (not included) is required to enable 24-hour parking surveillance. Ensure it is correctly installed.
- Cannot access videos from the SD card via the app: If direct access is an issue, try downloading the videos to the app's album for viewing.
- Dashcam gets warm during operation: It is normal for the device to generate some heat during use. If it becomes excessively hot or malfunctions, discontinue use and contact support.
