This user manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your new Bosch 500 Series 24 in. Stainless Steel Top Control Tall Tub Pocket Handle Dishwasher. To ensure safe and efficient use, please read this manual thoroughly before operating the appliance and retain it for future reference.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following basic precautions:
Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the dishwasher for any shipping damage. Ensure all accessories and documentation are present.
Choose a suitable location for the dishwasher, ensuring it is near water, drain, and electrical connections. The area should be level and capable of supporting the appliance's weight.
Connect the water supply, drain hose, and electrical power according to local codes and the detailed installation instructions provided with your appliance. It is recommended to have a qualified professional perform these connections.
Adjust the leveling legs at the bottom of the dishwasher to ensure the appliance is perfectly level and stable. This prevents vibrations and ensures proper door alignment.

The Bosch 500 Series Dishwasher features a top control panel with intuitive touch controls for selecting cycles and options. The panel is hidden when the door is closed, providing a seamless look.

For optimal cleaning performance, load dishes properly. Ensure items do not block the spray arms. The dishwasher features adjustable racks and a dedicated third rack for cutlery and small items.

Fill the detergent dispenser with the recommended amount of dishwasher detergent. For improved drying performance and to prevent spots, fill the rinse aid dispenser with liquid rinse aid.
Press the desired cycle button on the control panel. Available cycles include:
Close the dishwasher door firmly. The cycle will begin automatically. A red light projected onto the floor indicates the dishwasher is running.
The Auto Air feature automatically opens the dishwasher door slightly at the end of the cycle to allow steam to escape and improve drying results. This helps dishes dry more thoroughly and reduces condensation.
Regularly check and clean the filter system at the bottom of the dishwasher to ensure optimal performance. Refer to the detailed instructions in the full manual for removal and cleaning procedures.
Wipe down the interior of the dishwasher periodically with a damp cloth to remove any food residue or mineral buildup. For stubborn stains, use a dishwasher cleaner.
Clean the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that can scratch the surface.
If the dishwasher will be left in an unheated location during freezing temperatures, ensure all water is drained from the appliance and water lines to prevent damage. Consult a qualified technician for proper winterization procedures.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Dishes not clean | Improper loading, clogged spray arms, insufficient detergent, clogged filter. | Reload dishes, clear spray arm nozzles, use correct detergent amount, clean filter. |

| Water remaining in tub | Clogged drain hose or filter, drain pump issue. | Check and clear drain hose/filter, contact service if pump is faulty. |
| Excessive noise | Dishes interfering with spray arms, foreign object in pump, leveling issues. | Rearrange dishes, inspect pump area, ensure dishwasher is level. |
