3. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials, including tape and labels. Keep packaging for future transport if needed.
  2. Placement:
    • Place the appliance on a firm, level floor.
    • Allow at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space between the back and sides of the unit and any adjacent walls for proper air circulation.
    • This unit is garage-ready, meaning it can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from 0°F to 110°F (-17°C to 43°C).
  3. Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior and exterior surfaces with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  4. Initial Power-On: After placement and cleaning, wait at least 2-4 hours before plugging the unit into a grounded electrical outlet. This allows refrigerants to settle.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Temperature Control:

    The temperature is controlled by a manual dial located on the front of the unit. Rotate the dial to select your desired setting.

  2. Switching Modes (Freezer/Refrigerator):

    The dial allows you to select between 'Freezing' and 'Cooling' (refrigerator) modes. Adjust the dial to the desired temperature range for either function.

    • Freezer Mode: Set the dial towards 'Freezing' for temperatures between -14°F to -24°F (-6.8°C to -11.2°C).
    • Refrigerator Mode: Set the dial towards 'Cooling' for temperatures between 32°F to 46°F (0°C to 8°C).

  3. Loading Food:

    Distribute food evenly to allow for proper air circulation. Utilize the two removable storage baskets for smaller, frequently accessed items.

  4. Using Keyed Safety Locks:

    Insert the key into the lock on each lid and turn to secure the lid. Remove the key and store it in a safe place, away from children.

5. Maintenance

  1. Manual Defrosting:

    Defrost the appliance when frost accumulation reaches 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) thick. Unplug the unit, remove all contents, and open the lids. Place a shallow pan under the front-mounted drain plug to collect water. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior before plugging back in.

  2. Cleaning:
    • Clean the interior regularly with a solution of baking soda and water (1 tablespoon baking soda to 1 quart water).
    • Wipe down the exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
    • Ensure the condenser coils at the back are free of dust and debris for efficient operation.
  3. Power Cord: Periodically inspect the power cord for any signs of damage. If damaged, contact qualified service personnel.
