5.2 Focusing

The dual focus wheel system provides precise focusing capabilities.

  1. After selecting your desired magnification, use the larger focus knob for coarse adjustments to bring the image into approximate focus.
  2. Then, use the smaller focus knob for fine-tuned adjustments to achieve a sharp and clear image.

5.3 Using the Angled Eyepiece

The 45-degree angled eyepiece provides an ergonomic design for more comfortable viewing, especially during prolonged observation sessions or when viewing objects at different elevations.

5.4 Using the Sunshade

To reduce glare from direct sunlight or other bright light sources, gently pull out the sunshade located around the objective lens. Push it back in when not needed.

6. Maintenance and Care

6.1 Cleaning the Lenses

To clean the lenses, use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn smudges or dirt, use a lens cleaning solution specifically designed for optical instruments. Apply the solution to the cloth, not directly to the lens, and gently wipe in a circular motion.

Caution: Never use abrasive cloths, paper towels, or household cleaners on the lenses, as this can scratch the coatings.

6.2 Cleaning the Body

Wipe the body of the spotting scope with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.

6.3 Waterproof and Fogproof Features

The ESSLNB spotting scope is O-ring sealed and nitrogen-filled, making it IPX6 waterproof and fogproof. This prevents moisture, dust, and debris from entering the scope, ensuring reliable performance in various weather conditions.
