1. Introduction

The Topyond 450 Meters Golf Rangefinder is a versatile and precise optical instrument designed for accurate distance measurement. It is suitable for various applications including golfing, hunting, construction, and outdoor exploration. This device offers high accuracy, portability, and multiple measurement modes to enhance your outdoor experience.

Key features include a maximum range of 450 meters, a handheld and ergonomic design, and robust waterproof and dustproof capabilities. Its 6x magnification and rotating focus system ensure clear and accurate readings.

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before using this product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the device.

• Laser Safety: This device uses an invisible laser. Do not stare directly into the laser beam or point it at others. Avoid direct eye exposure.
• Battery Safety: Use only 2 x AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Ensure correct polarity (+/-). Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
• Environmental Conditions: Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or corrosive substances. While waterproof and dustproof, avoid submerging the device in water.
• Cleaning: Use only the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Disassembly: Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the device. This will void the warranty and may cause damage or injury.

4. Product Components

Familiarize yourself with the main components of the rangefinder:

1. Objective Lens: The front lens through which the laser is emitted and received.
2. Eyepiece: The lens you look through to view the target and measurement display.
3. Power/Measure Button: Used to power on the device and initiate measurements.
4. Mode Button: Used to cycle through different measurement modes.
5. Battery Compartment: Located on the bottom or side, holds 2 x AAA batteries.
6. Focus Ring: Located around the eyepiece, used to adjust the clarity of the view.

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment cover, typically on the bottom or side of the device.
2. Open the cover by sliding or unscrewing it.
3. Insert 2 x AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2 Attaching the Lanyard

Thread the provided lanyard through the designated loop on the rangefinder to prevent accidental drops.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

• Power On: Press the Power/Measure button once to turn on the device. The display will activate.
• Auto Power Off: The device will automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

6.2 Adjusting Focus

Rotate the focus ring around the eyepiece until the display and target appear clear and sharp.

6.3 Selecting Measurement Modes

Press the Mode button to cycle through the available measurement modes:

• Continuous Measurement Mode: For scanning multiple targets or a moving target. Press and hold the Power/Measure button.
• Fog Mode: Designed for use in foggy or hazy conditions to improve measurement accuracy.
• Speed Mode: Measures the speed of a moving object.
• Golfing Mode (Flag Lock Mode): Specifically designed for golf, allowing the device to lock onto the flagstick while ignoring background objects.

6.4 Taking Measurements

1. Look through the eyepiece and aim the reticle at your desired target.
2. Press the Power/Measure button once. The measurement will be displayed on the internal LCD.
3. Ensure the target is within the specified measuring range (5-450 meters).

7.1 Cleaning

• Lenses: Gently wipe the lenses with the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use fingers or rough materials, as this can scratch the lens coating.
• Body: Wipe the body of the rangefinder with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

7.2 Storage

• Store the rangefinder in its protective storage box when not in use.
• Keep the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Remove batteries if storing for an extended period to prevent leakage.
